The Chick Starter Drinker is a portable poultry waterer designed to provide easily visible and accessible drinking water during chick placement and early brooding. Its low drinking pan, stable base and simple reservoir structure make it suitable for day-old broilers, pullets, breeder chicks, quail and other young poultry. The drinker is filled manually and supplies water to the circular drinking channel as birds consume it. The reservoir is filled with clean poultry drinking water and secured to the drinking pan. Once the assembled unit is placed upright, water enters the circular trough through the outlet near the base. As chicks consume water and the trough level falls, additional water is released from the reservoir. In gravity-vacuum configurations, atmospheric pressure limits continuous discharge and helps maintain a relatively stable drinking level. The shallow circular channel allows chicks to drink from multiple positions around the unit. Because no electrical or mechanical valve system is required, the drinker provides a simple and dependable solution for early brooding. |
