| Working Principle |
The male component of the livestock ear tag is mounted onto the applicator pin, while the matching female component is positioned in the opposite jaw. Both tag sections should be checked for correct orientation before application.
After the pliers are positioned at the recommended location on the animal's ear, the operator closes the handles in one controlled movement. The male stud passes through the ear and locks into the female component.
Releasing the handles allows the return spring to reopen the pliers. For electronic tags or different visual tag formats, the applicator pin or jaw configuration should match the selected tag manufacturer's requirements.

Multi-purpose ear tag pliers are suitable for farms handling several livestock categories or different identification programs. A compatible applicator can reduce the number of separate tagging tools required for routine visual and electronic identification work.
For commercial livestock projects, SHEWUYOU can configure ear tag pliers together with cattle, sheep and goat identification tags, RFID ear tags, readers and other animal management equipment according to project requirements.

| Product FAQ |
Q: Why are these ear tag pliers called multi-purpose?
A: Compatible configurations can be used with several two-piece livestock identification tag formats, reducing the need for separate applicators for every routine tagging task.
Q: Can the pliers install electronic RFID ear tags?
A: Yes, when the selected applicator configuration, pin and jaw arrangement are compatible with the specific electronic ear tag.
Q: Can they be used for cattle, sheep and goats?

Q: Is the applicator pin replaceable?
A: Replaceable pins are available for compatible models and help extend the service life of the tagging tool.
Q: Can one applicator work with every brand of ear tag?
A: No. Stud dimensions, tag shape and jaw requirements vary between manufacturers, so compatibility should always be confirmed before use.
