Product Overview

The RFID Electronic Ear Tag Applicator is a manual livestock identification tool designed for efficient installation of electronic identification tags and compatible two-piece cattle ear tags. Its ergonomic lever mechanism reduces the hand force required during repeated tagging operations, helping improve operator comfort and productivity.

The applicator combines a lightweight but robust frame with a precision tag pin, controlled jaw alignment and an easy-squeeze handle. Compatible configurations can accommodate electronic ID tags, visual identification tags and selected livestock monitoring tags with minimal tool adjustment.

It is suitable for dairy farms, beef operations, feedlots, breeding centers, livestock markets and agricultural projects where large numbers of cattle require reliable electronic identification during routine herd management.

Key Features
  • Low-Force Application: Ergonomic leverage reduces squeezing effort during repetitive cattle tagging operations.
  • Electronic Tag Compatibility: Suitable configurations support two-piece RFID / EID cattle ear tags.
  • Multi-Tag Capability: One applicator platform can support compatible visual, electronic and monitoring tags.
  • Ergonomic Handle: Comfortable grip geometry helps reduce hand fatigue during high-volume livestock identification work.
  • Quick Tag Loading: Open-jaw construction allows efficient loading and positioning of male and female tag components.
  • Reduced Pinch Points: Practical mechanical design helps improve operator safety during application.
  • Quiet Operation: Smooth mechanical action helps reduce sudden noise and animal startle during tagging.
  • Replaceable Applicator Pin: Serviceable pin configuration supports long-term farm use.
  • Spare Pin Storage: Selected designs incorporate convenient spare-pin storage in the handle.
  • Farm-Ready Construction: Robust materials are suitable for routine use in cattle yards, handling chutes and livestock facilities.

Working Principle

The male ear tag component is loaded onto the applicator pin while the electronic or visual female component is positioned securely in the opposite jaw. For compatible cattle EID tags, the electronic tag head is supported so that the male stud and female tag remain correctly aligned during application.

The operator positions the applicator at the selected location on the animal's ear and closes the handles in one controlled movement. The applicator pin guides the male stud through the ear tissue and into the locking section of the female tag.

After the tag locks, the jaws open and the applicator is withdrawn. Correct tag positioning, tag/applicator compatibility and hygienic application procedures should always be confirmed before livestock tagging begins.
