Product Overview

The Automatic-Cycle Electric Calf Dehorner is a professional thermal disbudding tool designed to improve consistency and operator control during calf horn-bud treatment. Its compact pistol-grip configuration integrates electronic management of heating temperature and cycle duration, reducing dependence on manual timing during each operation.

The reference mains-powered configuration uses a 16 mm cattle tip with an integrated circular heating wire and automatically ends the operating cycle after approximately 10 seconds. A long power cable provides practical mobility around calf pens, restraint equipment and livestock handling areas, making the unit suitable for commercial dairy farms, cattle breeding operations and professional livestock service teams.

Key Features
  • Automatic management of heating temperature and operating cycle.
  • Automatic completion of the approximately 10-second dehorning cycle.
  • 16 mm cattle tip designed for calf horn-bud treatment.
  • Ceramic heating head with integrated circular heating wire.
  • Built-in operating indicator assists the operator during use.
  • Compact pistol-grip body supports stable single-hand positioning.
  • Approximately 6 m mains cable provides extended working reach.
  • Fast heating response reduces preparation time between operations.
  • Mains-powered configuration avoids battery charging and gas-cartridge management.
  • Suitable for commercial calf-rearing programs and professional livestock operations.
Structural Components
  • Ergonomic Handpiece: Compact pistol-grip housing for controlled positioning around the horn bud.
  • Ceramic Heating Head: Heat-resistant working head forming the thermal contact area.
  • Circular Heating Wire: Integrated heating element surrounding the working area of the cattle tip.
  • 16 mm Cattle Tip: Standard reference tip designed for cattle horn-bud applications.
  • Trigger Control: Activates the automatic thermal treatment cycle.
  • Status Indicator: Provides operating feedback during the heating cycle.
  • Mains Cable: Extended electrical cable for movement around the livestock handling area.
Working Principle

The ceramic tip is positioned over the base of the calf horn bud. When the operator presses and holds the trigger, electrical energy is supplied to the integrated circular heating element and the automatic treatment cycle begins.

The electronic system manages the cycle duration and heating process. On the reference mains-powered model, an audible signal indicates that the cycle is running, and the signal ends when the programmed treatment cycle is complete. The operator then releases the trigger and removes the dehorner from the horn-bud area.

Product FAQ

Q: What makes this dehorner different from a conventional electric model?
A: The automatic control system manages the heating process and operating cycle, helping provide a more repeatable treatment time than manually timed conventional irons.

Q: How long is one automatic cycle?
A: The reference cattle configuration automatically completes the treatment cycle after approximately 10 seconds.

Q: What size cattle tip is used?
A: The standard mains-powered cattle version uses a 16 mm internal-diameter ceramic heating tip.

Q: Does the operator need to monitor the cycle manually?
A: The unit provides an automatic cycle and audible operating feedback. On completion, the signal ends to indicate that the programmed cycle is finished.

Q: Is the heating head replaceable?
A: Yes. The ceramic head and circular heating wire are replaceable components and should be changed if damaged.

Q: Is the unit suitable for commercial dairy farms?
A: Yes. The automatic cycle, mains power supply and long working cable make it suitable for structured calf-management programs in commercial livestock facilities.

Q: Can SHEWUYOU supply alternative configurations?
