| Product Overview |
The Low-Pressure Float Automatic Sheep Drinker is designed for goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep farms and other small-ruminant facilities operating from low-pressure water systems. A protected float valve automatically maintains a constant drinking level, allowing animals to access water without manual refilling. The reference configuration uses a large, robust plastic drinking bowl with approximately 6 litres of water volume. Its rounded internal profile provides comfortable access for livestock and eliminates sharp edges in the normal drinking area. The valve mechanism is enclosed beneath a protective cover to reduce direct animal interference. With a low-pressure operating range up to 1 bar, the drinker is particularly useful for gravity-fed tanks, mobile water tanks and other farm installations where conventional higher-pressure drinkers may not operate correctly. The unit can be integrated into commercial sheep housing, livestock penning and steel structure farm building projects. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The drinker operates using a mechanical low-pressure float valve. When sheep drink and the water level inside the bowl falls, the float moves downward and opens the inlet valve. Water enters the bowl automatically until the preset level is restored. As the water rises, the float returns upward and progressively closes the valve. When the required level is reached, incoming water stops. This operating principle provides automatic replenishment without electrical sensors or pumps at the individual drinking point. The low-pressure valve configuration is intended for systems operating at pressures up to approximately 1 bar, making it suitable for gravity-fed tanks and other low-head water supplies. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation Height: Position the bowl so sheep can drink comfortably without excessive neck extension. Adjustable mounting systems can be used where different animal groups require different drinking heights. Low-Pressure Supply: Confirm that the water source and pipeline operate within the specified low-pressure range. Excessive inlet pressure may affect valve performance and should be regulated before commissioning. Water Connection: Connect the 1/2-inch inlet from the most convenient side according to the livestock building pipeline arrangement. Water-Level Adjustment: Adjust the float mechanism after installation to maintain an appropriate drinking depth without unnecessary overflow. Cleaning: Remove the rubber drain plug to empty the bowl rapidly. Flush feed particles, sediment and organic material from the drinking area before replacing the plug. Routine Inspection: Check the float, valve lever, seals, inlet fitting, drain plug and mounting hardware regularly to maintain dependable operation. |
