| Product Overview |
The Double-Sided Automatic Sheep Drinker is a compact livestock watering system designed to provide reliable fresh-water access from two opposite sides. Its twin-trough arrangement is particularly suitable for fence-line installations, adjacent pens, small paddocks and commercial goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep housing where one watering point can serve animals from more than one direction. A mechanical float-controlled quick-refill valve automatically replenishes the trough as animals drink. The relatively low water capacity promotes frequent water turnover while helping reduce unnecessary stored water. Insulated construction helps moderate water temperature during seasonal changes, while optional heating can be incorporated for freezing climates. For livestock farm construction projects, the drinker can be integrated with water pipelines, galvanized pen systems and steel structure livestock buildings. Installation layout, water connection and frost-protection arrangements can be configured according to project requirements. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The drinker is connected to the farm water supply through an inlet valve controlled by a mechanical float. As sheep or other livestock consume water, the trough level falls and the float moves downward, opening the valve and allowing fresh water to enter. When the preset water level is restored, the float rises and closes the valve automatically. This cycle maintains drinking water availability without continuous manual filling. The two-trough design provides water access from opposing sides, making the unit especially practical for fence-line applications and pen layouts where one centrally located waterer can serve adjacent groups. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Foundation: Install the drinker on a stable, level concrete base or suitable structural foundation. Secure anchoring helps prevent livestock contact from shifting the unit. Fence-Line Positioning: For shared-pen applications, position the center of the drinker along the fence or pen partition so animals can drink comfortably from both sides while maintaining pen separation. Water Connection: Connect the inlet to a clean pressurized farm water supply. Verify the actual water pressure and valve configuration before commissioning. Cleaning: Drain the trough periodically and flush sediment, feed residue and organic matter toward the drain openings. Sloped surfaces simplify routine clean-out. Valve Maintenance: Inspect the float, valve seat, seals and inlet fittings regularly to maintain reliable refill and shut-off performance. Cold-Weather Operation: In freezing climates, install appropriate heating and water-line protection designed according to local minimum temperatures and farm conditions. |
