| Product Overview |
The Sow Drinking Bowl is designed to provide gestating and lactating sows with convenient access to fresh water in commercial pig houses. Its deep stainless steel bowl surrounds the drinking point, helping capture water that would otherwise be lost from an exposed nipple. The rounded profile minimizes blind corners, while the protected upper section helps reduce manure contamination. An adjustable stainless steel nipple positioned inside the bowl provides controlled on-demand water delivery for efficient sow management. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The sow places her snout inside the bowl and activates the nipple valve. Water flows directly into the drinking area, allowing the animal to drink with less uncontrolled spraying than a completely exposed nipple installation. When the sow releases the nipple, water flow stops automatically. The flow setting can be adjusted according to water pressure and farm management requirements. |

| Product FAQ |
Q1: Is this drinking bowl suitable for adult sows? Yes. The reference MAXI configuration is specifically intended for sows and is rated for up to 10 sows per bowl. The adjustable nipple provides different flow settings according to water pressure and farm requirements. Q4: Why use a bowl instead of only a nipple drinker? The bowl creates a protected drinking area and captures part of the released water, helping reduce water loss and wet flooring. Q5: What is the maximum reference water pressure? The reference manufacturer specifies that water pressure at the nipple should not exceed 2.5 bar. Q6: Is the drinking bowl suitable for gestation and farrowing facilities? Yes. Sow drinking bowls can be incorporated into gestation, breeding and farrowing-house watering systems according to the pen layout. Q7: What information is required for a quotation? Please provide sow numbers, pigs per pen, required quantity, water pressure, mounting structure, water-line layout and project location. |
