| Product Overview |
The Heated Float Goat Drinking Bowl is an automatic livestock watering solution developed for goat and sheep facilities where dependable water availability is required during cold weather. It combines a durable drinking bowl, mechanical float valve and integrated electric heating system to maintain the water supply under low-temperature conditions.
The float-operated valve automatically replenishes water as animals drink, helping maintain a practical drinking level without continuous manual filling. An integrated frost-protection thermostat controls the heating system according to ambient temperature, reducing unnecessary heating during warmer conditions.
Designed for wall or pipe mounting, the unit can be integrated into goat barns, sheep houses, lambing facilities, breeding units and other steel-structure livestock buildings. Different voltage, heating capacity, valve and water-supply configurations can be selected according to project requirements.

| Structural Components |
| Drinking Bowl |
Durable plastic reservoir with rounded drinking edge for livestock access. |
| Float Valve |
Automatically opens and closes the incoming water supply according to bowl water level. |
| Valve Cover |
Protects the float and valve mechanism while allowing convenient maintenance access. |
| Heating Cable |
Provides electric heating around critical water and valve areas to reduce freezing risk. |
| Frost Protection Thermostat |
Automatically switches heating according to predetermined temperature conditions. |
| Drain Outlet |
Facilitates rapid draining, washing and sanitation of the drinking bowl. |
| Mounting Points |
Designed for secure attachment to suitable walls, posts, partitions or pipe mounting systems. |
|
| Working Principle |
When goats or sheep drink, the water level in the bowl falls and the float mechanism opens the inlet valve. Fresh water flows into the bowl until the preset level is restored, after which the float closes the valve automatically.
During cold weather, the thermostatically controlled heating cable protects critical areas of the drinking system against freezing. Depending on configuration, heating can cover the bowl and valve or can additionally extend along part of the incoming water pipe.
For reliable winter operation, the complete water supply system should be designed with appropriate pipe insulation and frost protection according to local minimum temperatures and farm conditions.

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation: Secure the drinking bowl to a structurally suitable wall, livestock partition or mounting pipe at the appropriate drinking height. Connect the water inlet from the required side and install the electrical heating circuit in accordance with the selected voltage and applicable local electrical regulations.
Winter Protection: Water supply pipes outside the heated area should be properly insulated or equipped with suitable trace heating. The entire water line must be protected where temperatures can fall below freezing.
Electrical Safety: Heated livestock equipment should be installed by qualified personnel. Appropriate junction boxes, circuit protection and animal-resistant cable protection should be used according to the project environment. A suitable transformer is required when using a 24 V configuration where applicable.
Routine Maintenance: Periodically inspect the float valve, heating cable, thermostat, water connections and electrical protection. Remove sediment and feed contamination from the bowl and use the drain outlet for regular washing.
|
| Project Integration |
The Heated Float Goat Drinking Bowl can be incorporated into complete goat and sheep farm projects together with water supply pipelines, insulated pipe systems, pens, gates, feeders, flooring and steel structure livestock buildings. Drinking points can be positioned according to pen dimensions, stocking density, animal age and farm management requirements.
