1. Permeable Upper Layer: A durable mesh or permeable textile surface allows the disinfectant solution to pass through and contact footwear soles.

1. Place the mat on a clean, stable and level floor at the designated personnel entrance.
2. Position it across the normal traffic route so personnel cannot easily bypass the treatment area.
3. Prepare the selected disinfectant solution according to the chemical manufacturer's instructions.
4. Add the required solution to saturate the absorbent core without unnecessary overflow.
5. Remove excessive mud, manure and organic contamination from footwear before entering the mat.
6. Inspect the upper layer, seams, sides and bottom regularly for wear, damage and leakage.
7. Empty and rinse the mat according to traffic volume and contamination conditions.
8. Allow the mat to drain or dry as required by the construction and sanitation procedure.
9. Refill with freshly prepared disinfectant solution before returning it to service.
10. Replace the mat when its structural integrity or liquid-retention performance is significantly reduced.
