| Product Overview | The Heavy-Duty Large-Cow Self-Locking Headlock is an extra-strong dairy feed-front system designed for mature, large-framed cows in commercial freestall barns, loose-housing facilities and large cattle projects. Its raised 104cm frame and spacious 40cm head opening provide additional clearance for modern large dairy cows. The extra-heavy tubular structure uses a large lower rail and reinforced vertical bars to withstand intensive daily livestock use. A concealed self-locking mechanism is integrated inside the upper profile, protecting moving parts from dirt and moisture while reducing exposed components around the animal. Individual cows can be released by a simple push-button action, while a central operating system can control an extended row of headlocks. |

| Working Principle | Open Position: Cows can freely place their heads through the feed-front openings to access the ration. Self-Locking Position: When the system is set to locking mode, the movable bar responds as the cow lowers its head toward the feed and engages the concealed locking mechanism. Secure Restraint: The locked position keeps the animal at its individual feeding space for routine herd-management procedures such as vaccination, pregnancy checking, artificial insemination and veterinary examination. Individual Release: A selected animal can be released using the dedicated push-button control. Group Release: The central operating handle releases multiple animals together, simplifying herd movement after treatment or feeding. |

| Installation & Maintenance | Install the feed-front sections securely between structural support posts along the concrete feed curb. Reference systems use universal fasteners on 2-1/2-inch support posts. Panel sections can be combined to match different structural bay widths. Reference fastening systems allow limited length adjustment, while longer mounting components can be specified where additional tolerance is required. Verify head opening, feed-place width, frame height and mounting level against cattle dimensions before final tightening. All supports must withstand dynamic loading generated by mature cattle. Regularly inspect the concealed locking mechanism, push buttons, operating linkage, pivot bars, fasteners and support posts. Remove accumulated feed and manure around moving parts and replace worn noise-reducing components when necessary. |

| Product FAQ | Q: Why is this headlock designed specifically for large cows? A: The reference configuration uses a raised 104cm frame and a spacious 40cm head opening to provide additional clearance for mature large-framed dairy cattle. Q: What feeding-place widths are available? A: Reference widths are approximately 65, 70 and 75cm per feeding place. Q: Can an individual cow be released without releasing the entire group? A: Yes. The concealed locking system includes individual push-button release capability. Q: Can several headlock sections be operated together? A: Yes. Compatible central controls can operate an extended row of headlocks, with referenced systems capable of controlling approximately 30m from one handle. Q: Is the locking mechanism exposed to manure and feed residue? A: The main mechanism is integrated inside the upper profile, helping protect moving components from dirt and moisture. Q: Can a headlock section also function as a gate? A: Yes. A compatible hinge assembly and castor wheel can convert selected sections into rotating feed-front gates. Q: Can the dimensions be customized for an existing dairy barn? A: Yes. Section length, feeding-place width, support-post arrangement and mounting hardware can be configured according to project drawings and existing structural dimensions. |
