The Hot-Dip Galvanized Dairy Cow Headlock is a self-locking feed-front system designed for organized feeding, temporary cattle restraint and routine herd management in commercial dairy and beef cattle facilities.

The welded steel frame is hot-dip galvanized after fabrication to improve corrosion resistance in humid livestock environments. Individual pivoting locking arms allow cows to enter the feeding position naturally, while the upper operating bar enables centralized locking and release. Headlock spacing, panel length and cow positions can be configured according to herd age, cattle size, feed-alley layout and steel-structure barn design.

Working Principle

When the system is placed in self-locking mode, the cow lowers its head through the feeding opening and moves the pivoting arm. As the animal reaches the normal feeding position, the movable arm engages with the locking mechanism and temporarily retains the animal at the feed front.

The operator can release the row through the upper transmission bar or release selected animals where an individual-release configuration is provided. The system can also be placed in an open feeding mode when restraint is not required.
