| Product Overview |
The Cast Iron Paddle Valve Cattle Drinking Bowl is a robust individual livestock waterer designed for dairy cows, beef cattle, bulls and other compatible large livestock. The heavy cast iron bowl provides mechanical strength for demanding barn environments, while an enamelled or protective surface helps improve corrosion resistance and simplifies routine cleaning. Water is supplied on demand through an animal-operated paddle or flap valve. When the animal presses the paddle, the valve opens and fresh water enters the bowl. Releasing the paddle stops the flow, helping reduce unnecessary standing water and overflow. The compact design is suitable for wall, post or pipe installation in cattle barns, individual stalls, group pens and livestock handling areas. Water connection, valve configuration, mounting brackets and protective guards can be supplied according to project requirements. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The drinking bowl is connected directly to the livestock water supply. When cattle lower their muzzle into the bowl and press the paddle or flap, the mechanical movement actuates the internal water valve. The opened valve allows fresh water to flow into the drinking area. When pressure on the paddle is released, the valve returns to its closed position and stops the water supply. This animal-operated system does not require an electrical control circuit. Water is delivered when required, while the compact bowl retains enough water for comfortable drinking according to the selected configuration. |

| Applications |
The compact bowl design is particularly suitable for individual stalls and locations where floor space is limited. Multiple drinking bowls can be distributed along a livestock water line to provide dedicated drinking positions throughout the barn. For complete cattle farm construction projects, drinking bowl locations can be coordinated with pen partitions, cattle headlocks, feed alleys, structural columns and centralized water pipelines. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation Position: Mount the bowl where cattle can drink comfortably without interfering with gates, feeding equipment or manure handling systems. Mounting Height: Determine the installation height according to animal size and livestock housing design. Secure Fixing: Fasten the bowl firmly to a suitable wall, steel post or pipe using compatible mounting hardware. Water Connection: Connect the inlet to the farm water line and install an accessible shut-off valve for servicing. Flow Adjustment: Adjust the valve to provide sufficient water without excessive splashing or overflow. Routine Cleaning: Remove feed particles and dirt from the bowl and behind the operating paddle regularly. Valve Inspection: Periodically inspect the paddle, valve, seals and spring components for wear or leakage. Winter Protection: Protect supply pipes and the drinking station against freezing when installed in cold-climate livestock facilities. |

| Project Cases |
Cast iron paddle valve drinking bowls are suitable for new cattle barn construction and renovation projects requiring durable individual watering points. In tie-stall or partitioned cattle housing, bowls can be mounted directly to walls, steel posts or suitable pipelines. Protective guards can be added in high-contact areas to reduce accidental impact on the bowl and plumbing. For large commercial livestock projects, bowl quantity, mounting height, pipeline diameter and valve configuration can be planned according to animal numbers, barn layout and available water pressure. |
