| Working Principle | Water from the main supply enters the pressure regulator before reaching the poultry nipple drinking line. The internal diaphragm and adjustment mechanism reduce the inlet pressure and maintain the required low-pressure condition inside the drinking pipe. The operator adjusts the regulator according to bird age, water demand and drinking-line conditions. A water-column indicator or compatible pressure indicator can be used to observe the operating pressure. | Installation & Maintenance | Install the regulator at the head of the poultry drinking line in an accessible position. The inlet should be connected to the filtered water supply, while the outlet should be connected to the drinking pipe according to the required flow direction. After installation, fill the line and inspect all connections for leakage. Adjust the pressure gradually while observing the water-column or pressure indicator. Final operating pressure should be selected according to bird age, nipple type and drinking-line configuration. For flushing, switch the regulator to the appropriate flushing position and open the line-end flushing valve. Allow sufficient water to pass through the complete line before returning the regulator to normal operating mode. Regular maintenance should include checking the diaphragm, seals, adjustment mechanism, inlet connections and indicator tube. Water filters and drinking lines should also be cleaned according to the farm's water-management program. |
