| Product Overview |
The Portable Multi-Parameter Water Quality Meter is a compact field testing instrument designed to combine pH, electrical conductivity (EC) and total dissolved solids (TDS) measurement in one portable unit. A combination probe simplifies routine water inspection and reduces the need to carry separate meters and electrodes.
It is suitable for commercial pig farms, poultry houses, cattle facilities, aquaculture operations, agricultural water sources, storage tanks and farm water treatment systems. The handheld format allows technicians to check multiple sampling points during livestock equipment commissioning, routine maintenance and water quality management.
For pig farm construction and steel structure building projects, the meter can be supplied as part of a water quality inspection package for drinking water systems, reservoirs, treatment equipment and distribution lines. |

- Protective Probe Cap: Helps protect the sensing elements during transportation and storage.
|
| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The pH sensing element measures the electrochemical potential associated with hydrogen ion activity and converts the signal into a pH reading. The conductivity sensor detects the ability of dissolved ions to conduct electrical current through the water sample.
TDS is normally derived from conductivity using a selected conversion factor or calibration curve rather than being measured as a separate physical quantity. Temperature compensation adjusts conductivity-related readings when sample temperature changes. Before routine testing, the instrument should be calibrated with suitable standard solutions according to the selected configuration and operating procedure. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
The portable meter does not require permanent installation. Connect the combination probe, install the power supply and calibrate the instrument with suitable standard solutions before routine testing.
For farm inspection, collect a representative sample from the raw water inlet, storage tank, treatment outlet or drinking line endpoint. Immerse or position the probe according to the selected configuration and allow the reading to stabilize before recording the result.
Rinse the probe between different samples to reduce cross-contamination. Clean deposits from the sensing elements regularly, especially when testing mineral-rich water or water affected by treatment chemicals. Store the pH sensing section using the recommended electrode storage solution when required. Recalibration is recommended after extended storage, probe replacement, significant cleaning or whenever measurement performance needs to be verified. |
| Product FAQ |
Q: What parameters can the meter measure?
A: The reference configuration measures pH, electrical conductivity (EC) and total dissolved solids (TDS) using a combination probe.
Q: Why are pH, EC and TDS useful for livestock farms?
A: They provide practical information for checking water acidity or alkalinity and monitoring changes in dissolved ionic content across drinking water systems.
Q: Can it be used on commercial pig farms?
A: Yes. The portable design is suitable for checking source water, storage tanks, treatment equipment and drinking line endpoints.
Q: Does the meter require permanent installation?
A: No. It is designed as a portable field testing instrument for routine sampling and inspection.
Q: Can the meter be included in a pig farm construction project?
A: Yes. It can be supplied as part of a water quality inspection package for drinking water pipelines, storage and treatment systems during project commissioning and maintenance.
Q: Does TDS directly measure bacteria or microbial contamination?
A: No. TDS is an indicator of dissolved substances and should not be used as a direct test for microbial contamination. Microbiological testing should be performed separately when required.
Q: Can the probe and accessories be customized?
A: Yes. Probe, accessories, calibration packages and combined testing kits are customizable according to project requirements.
