| Installation & Maintenance | No permanent installation is required. The meter is intended for portable field testing. Before measurement, rinse the electrode with clean or deionized water and immerse the sensing area into a representative water sample. Gently move the tester in the sample and wait for the stability indicator before recording the EC, TDS or temperature value. Keep the electrode away from the container wall and bottom during measurement. For routine quality control, calibrate the EC/TDS function with the specified calibration standard. The referenced configuration supports automatic one-point calibration at 12.88 mS/cm or 6.44 ppt. Rinse the electrode between samples to reduce cross-contamination. If deposits or contamination accumulate on the graphite sensing surface, clean it according to the applicable electrode maintenance procedure. The EC/TDS electrode is replaceable, allowing the instrument to remain in service without replacing the complete meter when the electrode reaches the end of its usable life. |
