Product Overview

The Heavy-Duty Sheep Bolus Applicator Gun is a reusable manual livestock dosing tool designed for controlled oral administration of compatible goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep boluses. The reference Bimeda applicator is specified for CoseIcure, Cosecure and ZincoIsel sheep boluses.

Its heavy-duty mechanical structure combines a hand-operated trigger, push rod and curved metal delivery tube to guide the bolus toward the rear of the mouth before release. This arrangement is suitable for repetitive flock-processing work where consistent handling, durability and operator control are important.

The applicator is suitable for commercial sheep farms, breeding enterprises, veterinary handling areas, livestock equipment distributors and agricultural projects requiring reliable sheep health and oral supplementation equipment.

  • Reusable Equipment: Can be cleaned, inspected and returned to service for repeated flock-health programs.

Structural Components
Main Handle Rigid hand grip provides the main support and control point during dosing.
Trigger Lever Hand-operated lever actuates the internal push rod to release the bolus.
Return Spring Returns the operating mechanism toward the loading position after use.
Push Rod Transfers trigger movement through the applicator to eject the bolus.
Curved Delivery Tube Metal tube guides the applicator head into the sheep's mouth while maintaining controlled positioning.
Bolus Applicator Head Retains the compatible bolus before administration and releases it when the trigger is activated.
Head Connection Allows compatible sheep or lamb applicator heads to be installed according to the bolus system.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

The compatible bolus is loaded fully into the applicator head until it engages with the push rod. The sheep is then restrained calmly using suitable handling equipment.

The applicator is introduced carefully through the mouth and positioned according to the bolus manufacturer's administration instructions. When the operator activates the trigger, the push rod moves forward and releases the bolus from the applicator head.

After release, the applicator is withdrawn carefully and the sheep should be observed to confirm normal swallowing. The applicator can then be reset and loaded for the next animal.

Important: Bimeda specifies that CoseIcure, Cosecure and ZincoIsel soluble-glass boluses should be warmed to approximately body temperature before administration and should never be heated in warm or hot water. Always follow the selected bolus product literature and applicator instructions.
