Product Overview
The Chick Feeder Pan is designed for automatic feeding of young poultry from the first day of placement. Its low feeding position and accessible pan structure allow day-old chicks to locate feed quickly while reducing the need for supplementary manual feeding.
Installed as part of an automatic auger feeding system, the pan receives feed from the conveying tube and provides multiple feeding positions around the feeder. High initial feed presentation can support chick starting, while feed level and line height can be adjusted as birds develop.
The feeder is suitable for broiler breeder rearing, broiler chick production and other commercial poultry projects. It can be integrated into livestock equipment packages for new poultry houses, steel structure buildings and existing farm upgrades.

Key Features
- Day-one feed access: Low pan height and wide feeding openings help young chicks find and reach feed easily.
- Automatic feed delivery: Compatible with auger feed lines for automatic distribution throughout the poultry house.
- High starter feed presentation: Suitable configurations can provide increased feed levels during the first days of rearing.
- Uniform flock feeding: Rapid filling of multiple pans helps provide feed to birds across the house at approximately the same time.
- Reduced feed loss: Feed-retaining pan geometry helps collect displaced feed and reduce unnecessary spillage.
- Efficient floor-space use: Compact feeder designs provide multiple feeding positions without occupying excessive house space.
- Durable construction: Engineering plastic components are suitable for humid and demanding poultry-house environments.
- Easy management: Suspended feeding lines can be adjusted as chicks grow and lifted for cleaning between flocks.

Working Principle
Feed is supplied from a bulk silo, hopper or central feed delivery system to the poultry house feeding line. A rotating auger transports the feed through the feed tube and distributes it to individual chick feeder pans.
During the early rearing stage, the feeder line is positioned close to the litter so chicks can easily reach the pan. A high feed setting or flooding configuration can provide additional feed visibility and accessibility during placement.
As the birds grow, the feeding line can be raised and the feed level adjusted to maintain appropriate feeding conditions, improve hygiene and reduce feed wastage.

Installation & Maintenance
Installation: Feeder pans are mounted along the automatic feed tube and suspended from suitable poultry-house roof or steel structure support points. Line layout and suspension spacing should follow the approved farm design.
Starter Position: During chick placement, the feeding line should be positioned at an appropriate low level so young birds can access feed easily.
Adjustment: Feeding height and feed volume should be adjusted progressively according to chick age, body size and management program.
Maintenance: Routine work includes cleaning feeder pans, checking feed outlets and connections, inspecting suspension components and confirming correct operation of augers and feed sensors.
