| Product Overview | The Manure Slurry Drag Hose is intended for pressurized slurry transfer in agricultural dragline and umbilical application systems. Connected between the supply line and field applicator, it moves with the tractor while liquid manure is delivered from a storage pit or lagoon. Its reinforced construction is selected to withstand pumping pressure and repeated contact with field surfaces. For commercial pig farms, the hose forms part of a wider manure management system serving storage facilities and steel structure livestock buildings. |
| Key Features |
|
| Structural Components | A typical drag hose comprises a slurry-contact inner lining, a tensile reinforcement layer and an abrasion-resistant outer cover. End assemblies include compatible hose tails, clamps or other specified couplings. Lining and cover materials depend on the selected hose construction and the required resistance to slurry, weather and field wear. |
| Working Principle | A manure pump sends liquid slurry through the supply line and drag hose to a boom, injector or other field applicator. As the tractor advances, the connected hose is pulled along the ground. The hose and every coupling must be rated for the actual pressure and pulling conditions; pump intake or suction duty requires a separately specified suction hose. |
| Technical Specifications |
|
| Applications | Used for pig slurry transfer from farm storage to agricultural fields and for the moving section of umbilical manure application systems. It can be paired with manure pumps, supply hoses, hose reels, dragline booms and slurry injectors. Suitability for other livestock slurry or digestate depends on the medium and selected hose materials. |
| Customization Options | Hose diameter, roll length, reinforcement, cover construction and connection hardware can be matched to pump output, application equipment, field size and terrain. For integrated pig farm projects, the hose specification can be coordinated with the storage outlet, transfer pipeline and field application plan. |
| Installation & Maintenance | Install approved couplings and check their pressure ratings before use. Route the hose clear of sharp edges, traffic hazards and tight bends, then inspect the full length and connections before pressurizing. Depressurize before disconnecting. After use, flush and drain the hose as required by the farm procedure, inspect for cuts, abrasion and coupling movement, and store it without damaging folds or prolonged contact with sharp surfaces. |
