| Product Overview | Designed for manure that does not flow readily into a conventional pump inlet, this unit combines an open feed hopper, a conveying screw and a progressive cavity pumping section. It can be integrated with manure collection pits, receiving hoppers and downstream treatment equipment in commercial pig farms and other livestock facilities. Pump selection is based on the actual manure consistency, solids content, required flow and pipeline layout. |
| Key Features |
|
| Structural Components | Typical assemblies include a rectangular inlet hopper, feed screw, transition or compression section, coupling and joint assembly, helical rotor, elastomer stator, shaft seal, discharge connection, gearmotor and mounting base. Component materials and access arrangements are selected according to the manure characteristics and operating environment. |
| Working Principle | Manure enters the hopper by gravity or from upstream handling equipment. The feed screw advances it into the pumping section. As the helical rotor turns within the stator, sealed cavities move toward the discharge, transferring material through the connected pipeline. The inlet must remain adequately supplied during operation. |
| Technical Specifications |
|
| Applications | Suitable applications may include transferring thick pig manure from a receiving hopper, feeding manure separation equipment, moving conditioned livestock slurry between treatment stages and supplying prepared organic feedstock to a biogas process. Fibrous material, stones and other foreign objects should be assessed during pump selection; upstream screening or cutting equipment may be required. |
| Customization Options | Options can be reviewed for hopper geometry, feed screw design, corrosion protection, rotor and stator materials, seal type, drive configuration, controls and pipe connections. The equipment layout can be coordinated with concrete pits, livestock building foundations, steel structure service areas and available maintenance clearance. |
| Installation & Maintenance | Install the pump on a stable, level foundation with support for the discharge pipe and clear access to the hopper, drive and rotor-stator assembly. Confirm motor direction, seal condition and inlet supply during commissioning. Inspect the feed screw and wear parts at intervals suited to the manure's abrasiveness and operating hours. Avoid running the rotor-stator assembly dry. |
