| Working Principle |
Laying hens are housed in individual cage compartments with direct access to feed troughs and drinking lines. The cage floor is slightly inclined so freshly laid eggs roll gently toward the front collection area.
Manure drops below the cage floor for manual or automatic removal. Where automation is installed, feeding, egg collection and manure removal can be operated through centralized equipment to reduce routine labor. |
