Product Name Heavy-Duty Multi-Rail Cattle Pen Gate & Panel
Product Image heavy-duty multi-rail cattle pen gate
Product Overview The Heavy-Duty Multi-Rail Cattle Pen Gate & Panel is a robust modular livestock barrier system designed for cattle housing, stockyards, holding pens, handling facilities and internal farm partitions. The same structural concept can be supplied as an operable gate or fixed fencing panel, allowing consistent construction throughout a complete cattle facility.

Different rail configurations are available to match specific livestock applications. Lower rail-count versions provide greater ground clearance or suit adult dairy cattle, while higher configurations offer additional containment for holding pens, calves or mixed livestock areas.

Heavy tubular rails, reinforced hanging components and positive sliding-bolt fastening make the system suitable for repeated use in commercial cattle buildings and intensive livestock handling environments.
Key Features
  • Gate or Fixed Panel Configuration: The same heavy-duty livestock barrier concept can be used for movable gateways or permanent pen divisions.
  • Multiple Rail Options: 3-, 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-rail arrangements can be selected for different cattle sizes and housing functions.
  • Heavy-Duty Tubular Structure: Robust horizontal rails and reinforced vertical members withstand regular livestock contact.
  • Reinforced Hanging Stile: Sleeved square-section hanging components provide stable gate support.
  • Positive Gate Fastening: Sliding-bolt latch arrangements provide practical and secure closure in cattle pens and stockyards.
  • Application-Specific Heights: Standard and higher hanging configurations are available for general cattle housing or taller holding-pen barriers.
  • Ground-Clearance Options: Selected rail configurations can provide additional clearance for automatic manure scrapers.
  • Calf Management Option: Calf-creep openings can be incorporated according to project requirements.
  • Modular Farm Layout: Gates and panels can be combined with support posts and matching fencing components to form complete livestock pen systems.
Structural Components
  • Heavy-duty horizontal tubular rails
  • Reinforced vertical frame members
  • Square hollow-section sleeved hanging stile
  • Gate hinge and hanging assemblies
  • Gate slam stile
  • Keyhole or pendulum-type sliding bolt fastening
  • Fixed-panel connection points
  • Optional support posts
  • Optional calf-creep aperture
  • Anchoring and mounting hardware according to project requirements
Structural Principle The system uses multiple horizontal tubular rails connected by vertical structural members to create a rigid livestock barrier. Loads generated by cattle contact are distributed through the rails into the hanging stile, support posts and structural connection points.

When configured as a gate, one side is supported by a heavy-duty hanging assembly while the opposite side closes against a slam post using a sliding-bolt fastening system. When configured as a fixed panel, both ends are secured to suitable livestock fencing posts or structural supports.

The number of rails and installation height can be selected according to animal size, required containment level, bedding conditions and equipment clearance.

Installation & Maintenance Installation:
  • Confirm the required gate or panel length, rail configuration and installation height before fixing support posts.
  • Install structural posts vertically and securely according to expected livestock loading.
  • Mount gate hanging components at the specified height and check that the gate swings freely.
  • Align the slam post and sliding-bolt receiver so the gate closes without excessive force.
  • For fixed panels, secure both ends firmly to compatible posts or structural supports.
  • Provide suitable bottom clearance where automatic manure scrapers or deep bedding systems are used.
  • Confirm all livestock-facing surfaces are free from hazardous projections before use.
Maintenance:
  • Inspect hinges, hanging components and gate bolts regularly for wear.
  • Check horizontal rails and vertical members after heavy cattle impact.
  • Keep manure and bedding clear of hinges, latches and gate swing areas.
  • Check support posts and structural fixings periodically for movement or loosening.
  • Lubricate moving latch and hinge components where required.
  • Repair damaged galvanized surfaces with suitable zinc-rich protective treatment.
Product FAQ Q: What rail configurations are available?
A: Multi-rail versions can include 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 rails depending on livestock type, pen function and required containment.

Q: Can the same design be supplied as a gate and a fixed panel?
A: Yes. The system can be configured as an operable livestock gate or as a fixed fencing panel for cattle pen partitions.

Q: Which version is suitable for general cattle handling?
