Product Overview

The Automatic Broiler Flood Pan Feeding System is a complete automatic poultry feeding solution designed to provide high feed availability during brooding and controlled feed presentation during the grow-out period.

During the first days after placement, the feeder pans can operate in a flood-feeding position so young chicks have convenient access to fresh feed around the pan. As the birds grow and the feeding line is raised, the system changes to a lower, controlled feed level to help reduce unnecessary feed spillage.

The system can be integrated with feed silos, main feed conveying equipment, auger lines, suspension systems and poultry house controls. It is suitable for commercial broiler farms, steel structure poultry houses, livestock equipment projects and complete poultry farm construction packages.

Key Features
  • Floor flood feeding: High feed presentation during early brooding helps day-old chicks locate feed quickly.
  • Automatic grow-out transition: Raising the feeder line allows the feeding system to move from flood feeding to controlled feed presentation.
  • Easy chick access: Low feeding areas and open access around the pan support convenient feeding during the first days after placement.
  • Feed waste control: Pan geometry and adjustable feed levels help keep feed inside the feeding area during later growth stages.
  • Uniform feed distribution: An auger delivery line continuously transports feed to multiple pans throughout the poultry house.
  • Adjustable suspension height: Feeding lines can be raised as broilers grow and lifted for cleaning between production cycles.
  • Automatic control options: Feed-level sensing and control-pan configurations are available according to project requirements.
  • Modular project design: Line quantity, pan spacing, line length, drive configuration and feed delivery capacity can be customized for different poultry house layouts.
Structural Components
  • Floor-flood broiler feeder pans
  • Feed pan support and adjustment assemblies
  • Galvanized steel feed conveying tubes
  • Internal spiral auger
  • Feed inlet hopper
  • Geared drive motor
  • End control pan or feed-level sensing unit
  • Suspension cables and pulley assemblies
  • Manual or electric lifting winch
  • Electrical control components
  • Optional connection to bulk feed silo and main feed delivery system
Working Principle

Feed is transferred from a silo or central feed supply system to the feeding line hopper. A motor-driven spiral auger rotates inside the feed tube and distributes feed progressively to the feeder pans along the poultry house.

During brooding, the feeding line is positioned close to the litter or floor. The flood mechanism presents a higher quantity of feed around the pan, giving young chicks easy access without requiring extensive supplementary manual feeding.

As broilers grow, the line is raised to the appropriate feeding height. Depending on the selected pan design, the flood openings close or the feed level is reduced to a controlled grow-out setting, helping limit feed wastage.

An optional control pan or feed-level sensor can automatically start and stop the auger drive according to feed demand at the end of the line.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation: The feeding lines are normally installed longitudinally inside the poultry house and suspended from the roof structure with cables and pulleys. Feed tubes, augers, pans, drive units and suspension components are assembled in modular sections.

Height Adjustment: The feeding line should be positioned close to the litter during early brooding and progressively raised as the birds grow. Suspension height should be adjusted according to bird size and the selected feeder pan design.

Cleaning: Feeding lines can be raised between flocks to provide working clearance for litter removal, washing and poultry house disinfection.

Maintenance: Routine inspection should cover the auger, drive motor, tube joints, feeder pans, flood mechanisms, suspension cables, sensors and electrical protection components.

Product FAQ

Q: What is the purpose of the flood pan design?
The flood function presents a larger amount of feed around the pan during early brooding, allowing day-old chicks to locate and access feed more easily.

Q: Does the system remain flooded throughout the complete production cycle?
Normally no. Flood feeding is primarily used during the early brooding period. As birds grow, the feeding line is raised and feed presentation is reduced to a controlled grow-out level.

Q: Can the system connect to an external feed silo?
Yes. The broiler feeding line can be integrated with bulk feed storage and automatic main feed conveying equipment.

Q: Can the feeding line dimensions be customized?
Yes. Line length, line quantity, feeder pan spacing, drive configuration and feed delivery capacity can be designed according to poultry house dimensions and project requirements.

Q: Can it be installed in an existing broiler house?
Yes. Retrofit installation is available after evaluation of the existing building structure, suspension points, feed route, electrical supply and poultry house layout.

Q: Can the voltage and control system be adapted for different countries?
Yes. Electrical specifications and control configurations are available according to local standards and project requirements.
