Veterinary Blood Sample Tube Storage Box

Product Name Veterinary Blood Sample Tube Storage Box
Product Image veterinary blood sample tube storage box
Product Overview The Veterinary Blood Sample Tube Storage Box is designed for organized storage of compatible blood sample vials, serum aliquots, plasma samples and other veterinary laboratory specimens. A 10 × 10 internal array provides 100 individual positions, helping laboratories maintain systematic sample identification and inventory control.

The reference configuration is manufactured from durable polycarbonate and accommodates up to 100 compatible 3.6 mL vials. Its keyed lid helps prevent incorrect lid orientation, while the printed location grid simplifies sample tracking during routine laboratory work.

The box is suitable for veterinary diagnostic laboratories, commercial livestock farms, breeding companies, research facilities and animal health programs that require organized refrigerated, frozen or cryogenic sample storage.
Key Features
  • 100-position storage capacity arranged in a 10 × 10 grid.
  • Designed for compatible veterinary sample vials and laboratory specimen tubes.
  • Durable polycarbonate construction for repeated laboratory use.
  • Suitable for short-term and long-term frozen sample storage.
  • Reference operating temperature range from -196°C to +121°C.
  • Autoclavable plastic construction supports decontamination procedures.
  • Keyed lid helps prevent incorrect orientation during sample retrieval.
  • Printed grid assists with sample numbering and inventory management.
  • Compact square format is suitable for laboratory freezer organization.
  • Useful for livestock blood, serum, plasma, DNA and other biological sample storage.
Structural Components
  • Storage Box Base: Provides a rigid platform for organized sample storage.
  • 10 × 10 Tube Array: Separates up to 100 compatible sample vials into individual positions.
  • Keyed Lid: Helps maintain correct lid orientation and sample-position reference.
  • Printed Location Grid: Supports visual identification of individual sample positions.
  • Polycarbonate Housing: Provides durability for refrigerated, frozen and cryogenic laboratory environments.
Working Principle Each veterinary specimen is placed into a designated position in the internal storage grid. The corresponding grid coordinate can be recorded together with the animal identification number, sample type, collection date and laboratory accession number.

After loading, the keyed lid is aligned with the box base to maintain a consistent orientation. This helps reduce sample-location errors when boxes are removed from and returned to refrigerators, freezers or cryogenic storage equipment.

For long-term specimen management, the box can be integrated with manual records, barcode systems or laboratory information management systems according to project requirements.

Use & Maintenance Confirm that the sample tube diameter, height and closure configuration are compatible with the selected storage box before use.

Label each veterinary sample clearly before placing it into the box. Record the corresponding grid position together with the animal ID, sample type, collection date and laboratory information.

Place tubes vertically into the individual storage positions and close the keyed lid in the correct orientation. Avoid forcing oversized tubes into the grid because this may damage the tube or storage box.

When using the box in ultra-low-temperature or cryogenic applications, follow the laboratory's validated specimen handling procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Reusable polycarbonate boxes can be cleaned and decontaminated according to laboratory procedures. The reference plastic box is autoclavable; however, sample tubes should be removed before any heat-based decontamination procedure unless they are specifically rated for the same conditions.
Product FAQ How many sample tubes can the reference box hold?
The reference configuration provides a 10 × 10 array with capacity for 100 compatible 3.6 mL vials.

Can it be used for veterinary blood samples?
Yes. It can organize compatible tubes containing blood-derived specimens such as serum, plasma and laboratory aliquots from cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and other animals.

Does it fit standard full-length vacuum blood collection tubes?
Not necessarily. The reference 341483 box is specified for 3.6 mL vials. Tube diameter and height must be checked before selecting a storage box for full-length vacuum collection tubes.

Can the box be used in ultra-low-temperature freezers?
Yes. The reference polycarbonate configuration is specified for temperatures down to -196°C when used according to applicable laboratory procedures.

Why does the lid have a grid?
The printed grid helps technicians identify individual tube positions and maintain accurate sample inventory records.

Is the box autoclavable?
Yes. The reference polycarbonate CryoBox is specified as autoclavable for decontamination.

Can other capacities be supplied?
Yes. Storage boxes with different tube arrays, vial capacities and dimensions can be selected according to project requirements.
