Structural Components A typical configuration includes a feed metering hopper or conveyor, coarse star screen deck, fine star screen deck, driven screening shafts, three fraction discharge conveyors, electrical controls, guarding and a structural steel support frame. Maintenance walkways, a wind sifter, magnetic separation and stone removal can be specified according to project requirements.
Working Principle The feed system presents a controlled layer of compost to the coarse deck. Rotating stars carry larger pieces forward while smaller material passes between the stars. The material passing the first deck reaches a finer deck, where fines drop through and the remaining medium fraction travels to its own outlet. Coarse oversize can be returned for further processing; each fraction is collected separately.

Customization Options Available options include feed hopper capacity, star selection, screen cut, conveyor direction, discharge height, electrical controls, weather protection and auxiliary contaminant separation. Structural steel platforms and equipment positions can be coordinated with a new composting building or an existing steel structure building. Configuration is designed according to local climate and farm conditions.
Installation & Maintenance Plan the foundation, power connection, feed route, three discharge routes and service clearances before installation. Modular equipment and steelwork can be assembled around the approved plant layout. During operation, inspect the stars and shafts for wear or wrapping, remove accumulated material, check drives and conveyors, and maintain guards and access points in accordance with the supplied equipment manual.

Can it screen fresh manure directly?
The system is intended primarily for processed, sufficiently stable compost. Very wet or sticky feed should be assessed before a screen configuration is selected.

Can the finished compost grade be changed?
The target separation can be adjusted through the selected screen stars and operating configuration. Available settings depend on the supplied design.

Can it connect to an existing composting line?
Yes. The feed, discharge conveyors and support steelwork can be laid out around existing equipment, subject to a site survey and engineering review.
