Product Name Red Infrared Heat Lamp Bulb for Poultry
Product Image red infrared heat lamp bulb for poultry brooding
Product Overview

The Red Infrared Heat Lamp Bulb for Poultry is a reflector-type radiant heating lamp designed to provide localized warmth for chicks, poults, ducklings and other young livestock. Infrared energy is directed toward birds, litter and surrounding surfaces to create a concentrated brooding zone.

The red glass construction reduces visible brightness compared with clear heat lamps while maintaining effective radiant heating. When installed in a compatible reflector with a heat-resistant ceramic socket, the bulb provides fast thermal response and convenient point-source heating for poultry brooding applications.

Different wattages, voltages and screw-base configurations can be supplied according to poultry type, brooder dimensions, local electrical standards and project requirements.

Key Features
  • Infrared Radiant Heating: Directs useful thermal energy toward birds, litter and nearby surfaces.
  • Fast Heat Response: Provides localized warmth shortly after the lamp is switched on.
  • Red Glass Design: Reduces visible glare compared with clear infrared heat bulbs.
  • Reflector Bulb Structure: Helps concentrate radiant energy toward the required brooding area.
  • Multiple Wattages: Different heating outputs can be selected according to bird age and environmental conditions.
  • Standard Screw Base: E26 and E27 configurations are available for compatible poultry heat-lamp fixtures.
  • Simple Installation: Screw-in construction simplifies installation and routine replacement.
  • Flexible Heating Layout: Individual lamps can be positioned above specific chick brooding or livestock nursery zones.
  • Easy Heat Adjustment: Heating intensity and coverage can be modified through lamp wattage and installation height.
  • Livestock Applications: Suitable for poultry brooding, piglet creep areas and other young-animal heating applications.
  • Project Supply: Available for poultry farms, livestock groups, distributors and agricultural engineering projects.
Structural Components
  • Red heat-resistant glass bulb
  • Reflector-shaped glass body
  • Internal tungsten filament
  • Reflective layer according to model
  • Glass neck and sealing structure
  • Metal screw base
  • Internal electrical contacts
  • Heat-resistant insulating components
Working Principle

Electrical current passes through the internal resistance filament, causing the filament to reach a high operating temperature. The generated energy is released as both infrared radiation and visible light.

The reflector-shaped bulb directs a substantial portion of the radiant energy downward toward the target brooding area. Birds, bedding and nearby surfaces absorb the infrared energy and convert it into sensible heat.

Heating intensity depends on lamp wattage, suspension height, ambient temperature and distance from the animals. Raising the lamp normally creates a wider but less intense heating area, while lowering the lamp concentrates heat over a smaller zone.

Installation & Maintenance

Infrared heat lamp bulbs should be installed in fixtures rated for the selected lamp wattage and operating temperature. A heat-resistant ceramic socket, suitable reflector and secure suspension system are recommended for poultry and livestock applications.

  • Disconnect electrical power before installing or replacing the bulb.
  • Confirm that lamp voltage and screw base match the electrical fixture.
  • Use a heat-resistant ceramic lamp holder.
  • Never exceed the maximum wattage specified for the fixture.
  • Secure the lamp fixture independently so it cannot fall into litter or bedding.
  • Maintain appropriate clearance from birds, litter and combustible materials.
  • Keep the lamp away from water spray and sudden thermal shock.
  • Do not touch or remove the bulb while it is hot.
  • Inspect the glass for cracks before operation.
  • Remove dust from the bulb and reflector during routine farm maintenance.
  • Observe bird distribution to determine whether lamp height requires adjustment.
  • Replace damaged bulbs, sockets or electrical cables immediately.
Product FAQ

Q1: What is a red infrared heat lamp bulb used for?

It provides concentrated radiant warmth for chicks, young poultry, piglets and other livestock requiring localized supplementary heat.

Q2: Why use a red heat lamp instead of a clear bulb?

Red glass reduces visible brightness while maintaining useful radiant heating for the brooding area.

Q3: Which wattage should be selected?

Selection depends on bird age, brooder size, ambient temperature, lamp height and required heating intensity.

Q4: Are E26 and E27 bases available?

Yes. Screw-base configuration can be selected according to the destination market and compatible lamp holder.

Q5: What type of lamp holder should be used?

A heat-resistant ceramic socket rated for the selected lamp wattage and voltage is recommended.

Q6: How can the heating intensity be adjusted?

Heating intensity can be changed by selecting a different wattage or adjusting the suspension height above the birds.
