| Working Principle |
Digital load cells installed beneath the weighing platform measure the applied load and convert the measurement directly into digital data. The sensors communicate with the DS8 indicator through the RS485 digital communication network.
The indicator identifies each connected sensor, receives its measurement data and calculates the total platform weight. Individual load-cell information can also be checked for diagnostics, corner adjustment and maintenance.
Processed weighing results can be displayed, stored, printed or transmitted to external equipment such as computers, PLCs, remote displays and optional network modules. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
- Use only compatible digital load cells that support the required communication protocol.
- Confirm load-cell addresses and communication status before calibration.
- Use shielded communication cable and follow the specified RS485 wiring arrangement.
- Keep sensor communication cables separated from motors, frequency converters and high-power electrical wiring.
- Perform corner adjustment and system calibration after installation or sensor replacement.
- Use the individual sensor diagnostic function to identify communication or load-cell faults.
- Protect the indicator from direct washing, excessive moisture, corrosive gases and mechanical impact.
- Check printer paper and printing mechanism regularly where ticket printing is used.
- Back up important parameters and weighing records before major configuration changes or servicing.
- Installation, calibration and electrical servicing should be carried out by qualified weighing-system personnel.
