| Working Principle |
Resistance strain-gauge load cells convert the applied mechanical load into a millivolt electrical signal. The C8+ receives this analog signal and converts it into digital weight data through its high-speed 24-bit Sigma-Delta A/D converter.
The controller compares the measured weight with preset target values, pre-act values, upper and lower limits or other programmed parameters. According to the selected operating mode, the built-in control logic activates the corresponding relay outputs to start, stop or switch external equipment.
Weight and process data can also be transferred to compatible PLCs, computers, remote displays or external devices through the selected communication and analog-output interfaces. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
- Confirm load-cell type, impedance and total sensor quantity before connecting the weighing system.
- Disconnect power before wiring load cells, relays, external inputs, communication interfaces or analog outputs.
- Use the specified six-wire load-cell connection and carefully verify excitation, signal and sense terminals.
- Complete zero and span calibration before connecting the controller to automatic production equipment.
- Test all input and relay output functions without load before starting automatic operation.
- Set target weight, pre-act value, upper and lower limits and delay parameters according to the actual process.
- Use external contactors or suitable power-control devices when switching loads exceeding the relay contact rating.
- Route load-cell and communication cables away from motors, frequency converters and high-current power cables where possible.
- Install the controller in a dry control cabinet and protect it from dust, condensation and direct washdown.
- Back up important calibration and control parameters before instrument replacement or major servicing.
