| Product Overview | The Automatic Sheep Footbath System is designed for routine hoof hygiene and flock management in commercial goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep operations. Installed within or alongside a sheep handling race, the system guides animals through a controlled treatment bath while reducing manual filling, dosing and emptying work. A typical configuration combines a galvanized structural frame, enclosed race side panels, treatment trough, chemical dosing unit, water level control and powered tipping or drainage mechanism. The system is suitable for breeding farms, large flock operations, sheep handling yards, veterinary service stations and integrated livestock equipment projects. |

| Working Principle | Water enters the system through the supply line and passes through the dosing unit, where hoof-care concentrate is introduced at the selected ratio. The prepared solution then fills the footbath trough. A level sensor monitors the liquid depth during operation. When the level drops, the system can automatically replenish water and treatment solution. Sheep are directed through the race so that all four hooves pass through the bath during normal movement. After the flock has been treated, the bath can be emptied using the integrated tipping or lifting mechanism. This helps remove used solution and accumulated contamination and simplifies subsequent washing and preparation for the next treatment cycle. |

| Customization Options | Footbath length, internal width, race side panel height, frame configuration, dosing system, chemical tank connection, drainage arrangement and power supply can be customized according to project requirements. The system can also be integrated with forcing pens, anti-backing gates, drafting gates, weighing systems and other sheep handling equipment. Design adaptation is available according to local climate, flock size, farm layout and steel structure building conditions. |

| Installation & Maintenance | Install the unit on a level, stable base and align it with the sheep race to provide a straight and unobstructed animal flow path. Connect the clean water inlet, chemical supply line and power source according to the selected system configuration. Before operation, verify the dosing setting and confirm that the level sensor, valves and lifting mechanism are functioning correctly. After each treatment cycle, drain used solution, rinse the trough and remove manure or sediment. Periodically inspect hoses, fittings, galvanized structural parts, cables and moving components for wear or damage. |

| Project Cases | Automatic sheep footbath systems can be supplied as part of complete sheep handling projects, including gathering pens, forcing pens, raceways, weighing systems, three-way sorting gates and restraining equipment. For larger farms, the footbath can be positioned in a regular handling route so hoof-care treatment can be incorporated into routine flock movement. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Product FAQ | Q: What makes this system automatic? A: Depending on configuration, the system can automatically dose treatment chemical, monitor the liquid level and refill the bath while powered lifting or tipping simplifies emptying. Q: Can it be installed in an existing sheep race? A: Yes. Dimensions and connection points can be configured according to the existing race and farm layout. Q: Can the chemical concentration be adjusted? A: Yes. The dosing ratio can be selected according to the hoof-care chemical and farm treatment program. Q: Does the dosing unit require electricity? A: Some configurations can use water-pressure-driven dosing without electrical power, while other automated versions may use electric pumps or control systems. Q: Can the footbath be supplied with a battery-powered lifting system? A: Yes. Battery-operated, mains-powered and other lifting configurations are available according to project requirements. Q: Can it be included in a complete sheep handling project? A: Yes. SHEWUYOU can configure the footbath together with races, forcing pens, gates and other livestock handling equipment. |
