Hoof Treatment Block

Product Name Hoof Treatment Block
Product Image Hoof Treatment Block for Cattle Hoof Care
Product Overview The Hoof Treatment Block is a professional hoof-care consumable designed for use during bovine hoof trimming and claw treatment procedures. The block is attached to the healthy claw so that the affected claw is elevated from the walking surface, helping reduce direct loading while normal hoof recovery and veterinary treatment procedures continue.

Suitable for dairy farms, beef cattle operations, hoof trimming contractors, veterinary teams and livestock service centers, the block provides a simple and practical method of temporary claw offloading. Different block materials, sizes and profiles can be supplied according to cattle size, hoof condition and farm management requirements.
Key Features
  • Designed to transfer load from an affected claw to the healthy claw during hoof-care treatment.
  • Supports professional management of hoof injuries and lameness-related claw conditions.
  • Contoured shape helps provide stable positioning on the prepared hoof surface.
  • Grooved or textured bonding surface improves adhesive contact according to block design.
  • Available in hardwood, polymer, rubber or composite configurations according to project requirements.
  • Different sizes can accommodate medium and large cattle hoof dimensions.
  • Suitable for use with compatible two-component resin or professional hoof block adhesive systems.
  • Compact disposable or semi-disposable design simplifies use by hoof trimmers and veterinary personnel.
Structural Components
  • Load-Bearing Sole: Provides the elevated walking surface that carries load through the healthy claw.
  • Bonding Surface: Designed to contact the prepared hoof horn and compatible adhesive.
  • Grooved Surface: Improves mechanical grip between the block, adhesive and hoof surface on selected versions.
  • Rounded Profile: Helps reduce sharp edges and supports smoother animal movement.
  • Left / Right Configuration: Available on anatomically shaped models where separate claw orientations are required.
Working Principle During hoof-care treatment, the healthy claw is cleaned, trimmed and thoroughly dried. A suitable hoof block adhesive or resin is then applied to the prepared bonding area or directly into the treatment block according to the selected system.

The block is positioned securely on the healthy claw and held until the adhesive has sufficiently cured. Once bonded, the additional block thickness raises the affected claw away from the walking surface, shifting a greater proportion of the animal's weight onto the healthy claw.

Application method, curing time and removal procedure should always follow the instructions of the selected adhesive and professional hoof-care protocol.

Installation & Maintenance Before application, restrain the animal securely in suitable livestock handling equipment. Clean and prepare the healthy claw, removing loose horn, dirt and moisture before applying the selected adhesive system.

Position the block carefully and maintain stable pressure until the adhesive has reached adequate handling strength. Avoid allowing the animal to bear full weight before the bonding material has cured according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.

Treatment blocks are hoof-care consumables and should be inspected periodically during use. Removal should be carried out with suitable hoof trimming tools after treatment is complete or whenever professional assessment indicates replacement is required.
Project Cases Hoof treatment blocks can be supplied within complete dairy and beef cattle hoof-care packages, together with trimming knives, nippers, grinders, adhesives, bandages and cattle restraining equipment. For large livestock projects, consumable quantities can be planned according to herd size, trimming frequency and farm hoof-health management procedures.
