A typical unit includes a screw press separator, screen basket, geared drive, feed pump, slurry pipework, liquid outlet, solids discharge, control cabinet, and structural base frame. An effluent transfer pump, solids conveyor, or additional feed protection equipment can be assessed according to project requirements. The equipment arrangement should allow safe access to service points without obstructing hose connections or solids removal.

The feed pump delivers manure slurry to the separator. Inside the press, a rotating screw conveys the material through a screen basket. Liquid passes through the screen and leaves through the effluent outlet, while retained solids move toward the discharge end for compression and removal. Screen selection and discharge adjustment are matched to the feed material and the intended use of the separated fractions.
