| Product Overview | The Hopper-Fed Manure Screw Press Separator is designed for further dewatering manure solids delivered from an upstream screening or separation stage. Its receiving hopper allows screened material to enter the press by gravity, reducing the need for a separate transfer step between machines. The press expresses additional liquid and discharges solids for collection and further processing. It can be integrated into manure treatment facilities serving commercial pig farms and steel structure livestock buildings. |
| Key Features |
|
| Structural Components | A typical assembly comprises a receiving hopper, press screw, perforated or wedge-wire dewatering section, gearmotor, liquid collection outlet, solids discharge and support frame. Depending on the selected design, the outlet may use a mechanical or controlled door arrangement to maintain compression. Wetted materials and wear protection are selected according to the manure and operating conditions. |
| Working Principle | Pre-screened manure solids fall into the hopper and enter the screw channel. As the screw advances the material through the pressing section, compression forces liquid through the screen into a drain. The dewatered solids leave through the end outlet. Final solids dryness and throughput depend on feed consistency, screen configuration, screw operation and outlet resistance. |
| Technical Specifications |
|
| Applications | Suitable for secondary dewatering after a sloped screen or other compatible primary separator. In a pig farm manure treatment line, the expressed liquid can be directed to storage or further treatment, while the pressed solids can be collected for composting, transport or other approved uses. Feed suitability should be checked before specifying the press for unscreened slurry. |
| Customization Options | Hopper geometry, frame height, installation angle, screen, screw wear protection, outlet control and discharge chute can be coordinated with the upstream separator and site drawings. Controls and liquid drainage connections can be integrated into a new pig farm construction project or an existing manure processing facility. |
| Installation & Maintenance | Mount the press on a stable structure beneath the upstream discharge, allowing clear access to the hopper, drive, screen and solids outlet. Provide independent support for connected equipment and a free-draining route for expressed liquid. Check feed distribution during commissioning. Inspect the screen, screw, seals and outlet mechanism regularly; isolate the drive and upstream feed before opening covers or clearing obstructions. |
