Depending on the selected configuration, the station can support weight recording, animal identification, routine treatment and sorting within one handling workflow.

Structural Components Typical components include a trailer chassis and drawbar, sheep lead-up race, weighing crate or platform, load cells or load bars, digital indicator, entry and exit gates, operator access area, and electrical connections. Wheel arrangement, stabilizing method, drafting section and EID equipment are specified for the chosen configuration.
Working Principle Sheep move through the lead-up race into the weighing position. The gates control animal movement while the weighing sensors transmit a live-weight signal to the indicator. Once a stable reading is obtained, the operator records the weight or uses the selected control system to direct the animal through an exit or drafting gate. Where EID is fitted, the animal ID can be associated with its weight record.

Regular maintenance includes cleaning manure and debris, inspecting fasteners and gates, checking cables and load cells, and calibrating the weighing system according to the indicator supplier's instructions.
