Transparent Lamb Feeding Bucket

Product Name Transparent Lamb Feeding Bucket
Product Image transparent lamb feeding bucket
Product Overview

The Transparent Lamb Feeding Bucket is a practical multi-animal milk feeding solution developed for artificial rearing of lambs and goat kids. Its see-through bucket body allows farm staff to monitor milk level at a glance without opening the feeder, improving feeding control in nursery pens and lambing facilities.

The flat-back profile is designed to sit securely against a livestock pen, wire panel or compatible wall mounting structure. A sloped internal floor helps direct remaining milk toward the teat outlets, while the removable lid helps protect the milk supply from barn contamination.

Available in round and square configurations with different teat quantities, the feeder can be selected according to group size, pen layout and livestock project requirements.

Key Features
  • See-Through Bucket Body: Transparent construction allows convenient visual monitoring of remaining milk or milk replacer.
  • Flat-Back Design: Provides improved stability when installed against wire panels, pen partitions or wall-mounted brackets.
  • Sloped Internal Floor: Helps direct milk toward the feeding outlets so less liquid remains unused in the bucket.
  • Removable Lid: Helps protect milk from birds, rodents, dust and other barn contaminants.
  • Easy-Clean Teat Units: The main teat unit can remain installed while the nipple and flow-control pin are removed for washing.
  • Printed Measuring Scale: Visible volume markings support quick monitoring and accurate milk preparation.
  • Multiple Feeding Configurations: Round and square versions can be equipped with different numbers of teat units.
  • Soft Latex Teat Option: Suitable for newborn, weak or newly trained lambs and goat kids.
  • Replaceable Components: Buckets, lids, teats, teat units and mounting hardware can be serviced separately.
  • Commercial Farm Application: Suitable for lambing barns, goat kid nurseries, breeding farms and integrated livestock housing projects.
Structural Components
Transparent Bucket Body See-through milk reservoir designed for visual level monitoring during group feeding.
Flat Rear Surface Provides stable positioning against livestock panels, walls or compatible mounting brackets.
Sloped Floor Directs liquid toward the teat outlets to improve use of the available milk supply.
Removable Lid Covers the milk reservoir and helps reduce contamination in livestock housing environments.
Bucket Teat Units Threaded feeding assemblies fitted through the bucket wall to connect teats with the internal milk supply.
Flow-Control Pin Removable internal component used within the teat unit to manage milk delivery.
Feeding Teats Latex or rubber teat options can be selected according to animal age and durability requirements.
Bucket Holder Welded wire bracket designed to secure the feeder to compatible wire panels or wooden structures.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

Milk or properly prepared milk replacer is poured into the transparent reservoir. Each feeding position connects the bucket interior to an external teat through a dedicated teat unit and flow-control component.

When a lamb or goat kid suckles the teat, milk is drawn from the bucket through the feeding unit. The sloped floor helps move the remaining milk toward the lower feeding outlets, reducing unusable residual liquid.

The transparent body allows the operator to check consumption during the feeding period, while multiple teat positions allow several young animals to feed from the same reservoir.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation:

  1. Select a stable wire panel, pen partition or suitable wooden mounting surface.
  2. Install the compatible bucket holder and verify that it can safely support the filled feeder.
  3. Place the flat side of the bucket against the mounting structure.
  4. Set the teat height to suit the size and age of the lambs or goat kids.
  5. Fill the clean bucket with milk or correctly prepared milk replacer and fit the lid.
  6. Check every teat unit for secure installation and correct milk flow before animals begin feeding.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Remove residual milk according to the farm feeding and hygiene program.
  • Remove the nipple and flow-control pin from each easy-clean teat unit for washing.
  • Wash the internal bucket surfaces, sloped floor and lid thoroughly.
  • Inspect teats for cuts, chewing damage, deformation or hardening.
  • Inspect teat-unit seals and threaded components for leakage or wear.
  • Do not leave an empty feeder in the animal pen, as lambs and goat kids may chew and damage the teats.
  • Store rubber and latex components away from prolonged direct sunlight and UV exposure.
  • The bucket can be inverted after cleaning where the mounting arrangement allows, assisting drainage and drying.
Product FAQ

Q1: Why use a transparent feeding bucket?

The see-through body lets operators monitor milk level without opening the feeder, which simplifies consumption checks during group feeding.

Q2: What feeder configurations are available?

Reference configurations include 2-gallon round buckets with one or three teat positions and 2.5-gallon square buckets with two or four teat positions.

Q3: What is the purpose of the sloped floor?

The sloped base helps direct remaining milk toward the teat outlets so the animals can consume more of the available liquid.

Q4: Are the teats easy to clean?

Yes. On the easy-clean feeding unit, the nipple and flow-control pin can be removed for washing while the main unit remains attached to the bucket.

Q5: Can rubber teats replace the latex teats?

Yes. Soft latex is useful for newborn or weak animals, while rubber teats can provide greater durability as lambs and goat kids develop sharper teeth.

Q6: Can the feeder be installed on wire livestock panels?

Yes. Compatible welded-wire holders can be used to secure the bucket to wire panels, and mounting options are also available for suitable wooden surfaces.

Q7: Are replacement components available?

Yes. Replacement buckets, transparent lids, feeding teats, teat units and mounting components can be supplied according to the selected configuration.

Q8: Is the product suitable for commercial farms?

Yes. The transparent reservoir, multiple teat configurations, replaceable feeding components and stable flat-back mounting make it suitable for commercial lamb and goat kid rearing facilities.
