12L 6-Teat Lamb Feeding Bucket

Product Name 12L 6-Teat Lamb Feeding Bucket
Product Image 12L 6-teat lamb feeding bucket
Product Overview

The 12L 6-Teat Lamb Feeding Bucket is a practical group milk-feeding unit designed for artificial rearing and supplementary feeding of lambs and goat kids. Six individual nursing positions allow up to six young animals to drink simultaneously, helping reduce the labor associated with individual bottle feeding.

The reference configuration uses a robust green plastic bucket with a 12 L capacity, six yellow natural-rubber lamb teats, matching valve components, a metal hanging bracket and a metal carrying handle. The hanging system enables convenient installation on suitable barn walls, feed barriers, livestock fences and pen structures.

The simple gravity-fed layout is well suited to commercial sheep farms, lambing barns, breeding operations, goat kid nurseries and livestock equipment projects requiring an economical and easy-to-service group feeding solution.

Key Features
  • Six Feeding Positions: Designed to feed up to six lambs or goat kids simultaneously.
  • 12 L Milk Capacity: Provides sufficient reservoir volume for group feeding while remaining practical for manual filling and cleaning.
  • Natural Rubber Teats: Six yellow lamb teats provide flexible suckling points suitable for young small ruminants.
  • Individual Valve Components: Each teat is paired with a dedicated valve to connect the feeding point with the milk reservoir.
  • Metal Hanging Bracket: Enables the feeder to be suspended from compatible barn walls, feed barriers, fences or livestock pen structures.
  • Metal Carry Handle: Supports convenient transport between milk preparation, feeding and washing areas.
  • Stackable Construction: Bucket bodies can be stacked when empty to reduce storage space in farm warehouses and equipment rooms.
  • Replaceable Feeding Parts: Teats and valve components can be replaced independently when worn or damaged.
  • Simple Mechanical Design: No electricity or automated control equipment is required for normal operation.
  • Commercial Livestock Application: Suitable for lambing sheds, nursery pens, sheep housing systems and intensive young-stock rearing programs.
Structural Components

Metal Hanging Bracket Supports installation on compatible stable walls, livestock barriers, fences and pen structures.
Metal Carry Handle Provides a convenient grip for handling the empty or filled feeding bucket.
Optional Cover A compatible bucket cover can be selected to help reduce contamination from dust, bedding and other environmental debris.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

Milk or properly prepared milk replacer is poured into the 12 L bucket reservoir. Six feeding teats are installed around the lower section of the bucket and connected to the liquid reservoir through individual valve components.

When a lamb or goat kid suckles a teat, milk is drawn through the corresponding valve and teat. Because each animal has an individual nursing point, several young animals can feed from the same reservoir at the same time.

The feeder operates without electricity or external pressure. Correct mounting height, teat condition and milk level are important for reliable feeding performance and comfortable animal posture.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation:

  1. Choose a stable wall, feed barrier, livestock fence or pen structure capable of supporting the filled bucket.
  2. Position the metal hanging bracket securely on the selected mounting point.
  3. Hang the bucket and verify that it cannot be easily displaced when animals push against the teats.
  4. Adjust installation height so lambs or goat kids can nurse in a comfortable, natural posture.
  5. Check that all six teats and valves are correctly installed.
  6. Fill the clean bucket with milk or prepared milk replacer.
  7. Confirm milk flow at each teat before group feeding begins.

Routine Maintenance:

  • Remove residual milk according to the farm's feeding and hygiene procedures.
  • Wash the bucket thoroughly after feeding to prevent milk-film buildup.
  • Clean teats and valve passages carefully because milk residues can restrict flow.
  • Inspect natural-rubber teats for cracks, hardening, bite damage or deformation.
  • Inspect metal valves and mounting components for wear or damage.
  • Replace worn feeding components before returning the unit to service.
  • Allow cleaned equipment to drain and dry before storage or refilling.
