5-Teat Lamb Feeding Bucket

Product Name 5-Teat Lamb Feeding Bucket
Product Image 5-teat lamb feeding bucket
Product Overview

The 5-Teat Lamb Feeding Bucket is a multi-position milk feeding unit developed for group rearing of lambs and goat kids. Five individual teat stations allow several young animals to nurse simultaneously, reducing the labor associated with individual bottle feeding.

The reference configuration combines an 8 L plastic bucket with five red natural rubber teats, individual valves, a retaining plate, measuring scale and metal carrying handle. The bucket is flattened on both sides, providing a practical profile for installation against livestock pen rails, gates or compatible mounting structures.

Suitable for commercial sheep farms, goat farms, lambing barns, young-stock nursery areas and agricultural livestock projects, the feeder provides a simple and serviceable solution for artificial milk feeding, orphan-lamb management and supplementary feeding programs.

Key Features
  • Five Feeding Positions: Allows up to five lambs or goat kids to nurse from separate teat stations at the same time.
  • 8 L Capacity: Provides practical milk volume for group feeding while remaining manageable for filling, carrying and cleaning.
  • Natural Rubber Teats: Five red livestock teats provide flexible nursing points for young animals.
  • Individual Valve System: Each teat is connected through a dedicated valve assembly for controlled milk delivery.
  • Flattened Bucket Profile: Flat front and rear sections improve positioning against pen rails, barriers and mounting surfaces.
  • Integrated Measuring Scale: Allows operators to visually monitor milk volume and prepare feeding quantities more conveniently.
  • Metal Carry Handle: Provides a practical grip for moving the bucket between preparation, feeding and cleaning areas.
  • Replaceable Components: Teats, valves and associated feeding parts can be serviced or replaced when worn.
  • Commercial Farm Application: Suitable for routine use in lambing sheds, nursery pens and intensive small-ruminant rearing systems.
Structural Components
Bucket Body Plastic milk reservoir with an 8 L reference capacity and flattened sides for practical mounting.
Five Feeding Teats Natural rubber nursing teats positioned around the lower section of the bucket.
Valve Assemblies Individual valve units connect the internal milk reservoir to each feeding teat.
Retaining Plate Supports installation of the bucket on a compatible pen, rail or livestock partition.
Measuring Scale Graduated markings assist with monitoring the amount of milk or prepared milk replacer.
Metal Carry Handle Provides convenient handling during filling, transport and cleaning operations.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

Milk or properly prepared milk replacer is poured into the bucket reservoir. Each teat is connected to the milk supply through an individual valve positioned near the lower section of the bucket.

When a lamb or goat kid suckles a teat, milk is drawn from the bucket through the corresponding valve and teat. Five separate feeding positions allow several animals to nurse simultaneously without the operator holding individual bottles.

The bucket should be mounted at a suitable nursing height so that young animals adopt a natural feeding posture. Final mounting height should be adjusted according to animal size, pen construction and farm management requirements.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation:

  1. Select a stable livestock rail, gate, panel or pen partition capable of supporting the filled bucket.
  2. Install the retaining plate or compatible mounting bracket securely.
  3. Hang the bucket against the mounting structure and verify that it remains stable when animals apply pressure to the teats.
  4. Set the teat height according to the size and age of the lambs or goat kids.
  5. Fill the clean bucket with milk or properly prepared milk replacer.
  6. Check every teat and valve for correct flow before allowing animals to feed.

Routine Maintenance:

  • Empty residual milk after each feeding cycle according to farm hygiene procedures.
  • Wash the bucket, teats and valve components thoroughly to remove milk deposits.
  • Inspect natural rubber teats regularly for bite damage, cracks, hardening or deformation.
  • Check valve assemblies for blockage, leakage or reduced milk flow.
  • Replace worn teats, seals and valves before the next feeding cycle.
  • Allow cleaned components to drain and dry before storage or reuse.
Product FAQ

Q1: How many lambs can use the bucket simultaneously?

The five-teat configuration provides five separate feeding positions, allowing up to five animals to nurse simultaneously.

Q2: What is the capacity of the reference model?
