| Product Overview | The One-Piece EID Sheep Ear Tag is a compact electronic livestock identification device designed for individual goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep and goat identification, flock traceability and digital farm management. Its integrated one-piece structure combines the tag body, locking section and electronic identification component into a streamlined configuration that is easy to handle during routine tagging work. The embedded RFID transponder allows compatible electronic readers to retrieve a unique animal identification number without direct visual contact. At the same time, the external tag surface can carry visible numbers, flock codes or other management information, allowing electronic and visual identification to be used together in commercial livestock operations. |

| Working Principle | The ear tag is loaded into a compatible applicator and positioned at the recommended area of the sheep's ear. When the applicator is closed, the male pin passes through the ear and engages with the locking section, forming a compact loop around the ear. Once installed, the electronic transponder remains associated with that individual animal. A compatible RFID reader energizes and reads the transponder when the animal enters the reader's operating range. The electronic identification number can then be transferred to weighing, drafting, breeding, treatment or flock management records. This allows farms to automate individual animal identification while retaining a visible identification reference on the ear tag. |

| Installation & Maintenance | Before tagging, confirm that the electronic identification number and visible marking correspond with the farm's animal records. Load the tag into the specified applicator and safely restrain the sheep before application. Position the tag in an appropriate area of the ear while avoiding major blood vessels and excessively thick cartilage. Close the applicator completely so the pin passes cleanly through the ear and locks securely into the receiving section. After application, inspect the tag position and verify the EID number with a compatible reader when required. Applicators should be cleaned regularly and checked for correct alignment, wear and damage. |
