Product Overview

The SHEWUYOU Stationary Cattle Hoof Trimming Chute is a fixed-position livestock handling system developed for routine hoof trimming, claw inspection, corrective hoof care and selected veterinary procedures. It is particularly suitable for dairy farms and cattle facilities that require a permanent hoof-care station integrated into the daily movement of animals.

Compared with portable equipment, a stationary chute can be incorporated directly into a barn, treatment area, cattle alley or dedicated hoof-care zone. The fixed installation provides a stable working platform while allowing entrance gates, exit gates and cattle lanes to be arranged for efficient animal flow.

Frame structure, restraint system, hydraulic or manual operating functions, left-hand or right-hand working orientation, surface protection and surrounding cattle-handling equipment can be customized according to project requirements.

Key Features
  • Permanent Farm Installation: Designed for fixed installation in dairy barns, cattle treatment areas and dedicated hoof-care stations.
  • Heavy-Duty Steel Structure: Reinforced livestock-equipment frame provides the rigidity required for repeated cattle handling and professional hoof-care operations.
  • Efficient Cattle Flow: The chute can be coordinated with entrance alleys, holding pens, sorting gates and exit lanes to support smooth animal movement.
  • Secure Animal Restraint: Head restraint, body support and leg-positioning components help maintain controlled cattle positioning during hoof trimming.
  • Ergonomic Working Access: Open access around the front and rear legs provides a practical working position for hoof trimmers and farm personnel.
  • Hydraulic Options: Hydraulic head gate, squeeze system, belly support, rear assist system and tilt or layover functions can be supplied depending on the selected configuration.
  • Left- or Right-Hand Configuration: Working orientation can be selected according to barn layout, operator preference and cattle-flow direction.
  • Corrosion Protection: Galvanized or protective coated steel options are available for demanding livestock-house environments.
  • Custom Project Integration: The chute can be engineered as part of a complete cattle handling and dairy-farm equipment package.
Structural Components
  • Heavy-duty structural steel main frame
  • Front cattle head gate or head restraint assembly
  • Rear entrance gate and cattle-guiding structure
  • Body squeeze or lateral restraint system
  • Belly band, belly support or belly pan configuration
  • Front leg restraint assemblies
  • Rear leg restraint assemblies
  • Hoof support plates or hoof working blocks
  • Non-slip cattle standing platform
  • Hydraulic power unit and control valves where specified
  • Safety locking and mechanical restraint components
  • Fixed foundation or floor anchoring points
  • Optional work lights and operator controls
Working Principle

The animal is guided from the cattle alley or holding area into the stationary chute. Once the cow reaches the correct position, the front head restraint and body-support system are engaged to restrict excessive movement.

The belly-support system stabilizes the animal while individual front or rear legs are secured and positioned for hoof inspection or trimming. Depending on configuration, restraint and positioning functions may be operated manually, hydraulically or through remote controls.

After hoof-care work is completed, the leg restraints and body-support components are released in a controlled sequence. The front gate then opens so the animal can leave the chute and return to the cattle-flow system. A correctly planned stationary installation can help maintain an efficient workflow for repeated on-farm hoof-care procedures.

Installation & Maintenance

Site Planning: The chute should be positioned where cattle can enter and leave with minimal sharp turns. The surrounding cattle alley, holding area and exit route should be planned as one complete livestock-flow system.

Foundation: Install the chute on a level, structurally adequate concrete floor or other engineered foundation. Anchor points should be selected according to the chute structure and site conditions.

Working Clearance: Reserve sufficient space around the machine for operator movement, hoof access, gate operation, hydraulic maintenance and emergency access.

Hydraulic and Electrical Installation: Hydraulic lines, control valves, power units and electrical components should be installed and tested according to the supplied technical documentation and applicable local standards.

Routine Inspection: Regularly inspect gates, hinges, locks, hydraulic hoses, fittings, cylinders, leg restraints, belly supports, fasteners and floor surfaces.

Cleaning: Remove manure, mud and hoof-trimming residue after operation. Clean animal-contact areas and maintain the non-slip floor to support hygiene, traction and long service life.

Project Integration

A stationary hoof trimming chute can be incorporated into new dairy-farm construction or existing barn renovation projects. SHEWUYOU can coordinate the chute location with cattle alleys, sorting gates, holding pens, treatment areas, steel livestock fencing and related farm equipment according to the overall cattle-flow plan. Equipment configuration and installation details are developed according to herd management requirements, building layout and local site conditions.

Product FAQ

Q: What is the main advantage of a stationary cattle hoof trimming chute?
