| Product Overview | The Hydraulic Cattle Crush Weighing System combines a hydraulically operated restraint chute with load bars and a digital weight indicator. It is designed to hold one animal at a time for weighing, identification, health checks, and routine treatment. The system can be planned as part of a cattle race, handling yard, or covered livestock equipment area within a steel structure building. | ||||||||||||
| Key Features |
|
||||||||||||
| Structural Components | Typical components include a steel chute frame, hydraulic head gate and tail gate, adjustable squeeze sides, operator controls, hydraulic power unit and hoses, access doors, nonslip floor, load bars or load cells, junction and cabling components, and a digital weighing indicator. EID reading, data export, and additional restraint accessories are available according to project requirements. | ||||||||||||
| Working Principle | A single animal enters from the race and is contained by the rear gate and head gate. Hydraulic controls adjust the squeeze sides to restrain the animal for handling. Once the animal is fully supported by the weighing assembly and movement settles, the load bars transmit a weight signal to the indicator. The operator records the result and releases the animal through the front gate. | ||||||||||||

| Applications | Suitable for beef cattle farms, dairy operations, breeding facilities, feedlots, livestock markets, and veterinary handling areas. On mixed-species farms or large agricultural projects that also include pig farm construction, the cattle handling line should be designed separately for cattle dimensions and behavior. | ||||||||||||
| Customization Options | Options may include chute dimensions, gate arrangement, side access layout, floor type, hydraulic power configuration, weighing indicator, EID reader, data interface, and connections to existing races or sorting systems. Final selections depend on herd size, handling tasks, site layout, and local electrical supply. | ||||||||||||
| Installation & Maintenance | Place the crush on a level, load-bearing base and align it with the entry race and exit route. Install and protect the weighing components according to the scale supplier's instructions; ensure the crush can move on its load bars without touching adjacent structures. After commissioning, check gate travel, hydraulic connections, indicator operation, and calibration. Routinely clean the floor and access areas, inspect hoses and fasteners, and recalibrate the scale as required. | ||||||||||||
