Product Overview The Manual Cattle Crush Weighing System combines a manually operated cattle handling chute with a load bar and digital indicator arrangement specified for the project. It allows an operator to hold one animal in the crush and record its weight during routine handling. The system can be incorporated into a cattle race, treatment area or livestock weighing station within a new or existing farm building.

Structural Components A typical configuration comprises a steel crush frame, head gate, rear entry gate, side panels or access gates, floor, manual operating mechanisms, load bar mounting points, compatible load bars, cables and a weighing indicator. Working Principle An animal enters from the handling race. The operator closes the rear gate and secures the head gate, then uses any specified side restraint for the procedure. With the animal fully inside and the crush supported by the load bars, the indicator displays its weight. The operator records the reading and releases the animal through the front gate. The crush must remain clear of surrounding structures that could interfere with weighing.

Keep the entire crush weight on the load bars, protect cables from animals and machinery, and check that gates or adjacent fencing do not touch the weighing structure. After installation, zero and check the indicator with a suitable test weight. Routinely remove manure and debris from beneath the crush, inspect gates and latches, and keep electrical connections dry.
