Continuous Animal By-Product Rendering CookerProduct Image![]() Representative equipment image; final configuration may vary. Product OverviewThe Continuous Animal By-Product Rendering Cooker is intended for rendering lines that receive a steady supply of prepared animal material. Indirect steam heating transfers heat through the cooker's internal surfaces while the rotating assembly moves material through the vessel. Moisture leaves through the vapor outlet, and the cooked stream continues to downstream fat and solids separation equipment. The cooker can be specified as part of a livestock by-product processing facility serving commercial pig farms, slaughterhouses or integrated agricultural operations. Feed preparation, steam supply, vapor treatment and the surrounding steel structure building should be planned together as one process layout. Key Features
Structural Components
The exact rotor, heating surface and connection arrangement are confirmed during engineering. Working PrinciplePrepared animal by-products enter the cooker at a controlled rate. Steam heats the internal surfaces, which transfer heat to the moving material and evaporate part of its moisture. The rotating assembly carries and mixes the material toward the discharge. Vapor is routed to the plant's vapor-handling equipment; the cooked material then proceeds to the specified draining, pressing or fat-separation stage. Operating settings depend on the feedstock and the required downstream process. Technical Specifications
Applications
Customization OptionsCooker sizing, feed and discharge interfaces, materials of construction, insulation, instrumentation and control integration can be specified according to project requirements. The overall arrangement can be designed according to local climate and farm conditions, available utilities and the planned rendering process. Installation & MaintenanceInstallation planning should confirm foundation loads, lifting access, service space, steam and condensate connections, vapor ducting and interfaces with upstream and downstream livestock equipment. During operation, maintenance personnel should inspect the drive, bearings, seals, steam system and access covers according to the supplied maintenance schedule. Cleaning and inspection procedures should be matched to the processed material. Product FAQDoes the cooker accept whole carcasses? Can it be integrated into an existing rendering line?
