Working Principle Prepared animal by-products are loaded into the vessel and the access opening is secured. Steam heats the vessel jacket while the agitator moves material across the heated surfaces. The batch is held under a process-specific temperature, pressure and time profile. Vapor is routed to the specified condensation and odor treatment system. After cooking and any required drying stage, the material is discharged for further separation or handling. Treatment conditions must be validated for the feedstock and applicable local requirements.
