| Product Overview |
The Automatic Treadle Poultry Feeder is a mechanical poultry feeding unit designed to keep stored feed covered until a chicken steps onto the treadle. The bird's weight activates the linkage mechanism and opens the feeding compartment, providing convenient access to dry feed while helping restrict access by rodents, wild birds and other unwanted animals. The feeder combines a galvanized metal hopper with durable plastic components for reliable farm use. It is suitable for free-range poultry farms, breeder units, layer houses, small and medium commercial poultry operations, agricultural projects and livestock equipment distribution. |

| Working Principle |
Dry feed is loaded into the upper hopper and moves downward into the feeding trough by gravity. When a chicken steps onto the treadle, its body weight activates the mechanical linkage and raises the protective feed door. The bird can then access the feed trough. When the chicken steps away, the treadle returns to its original position and the access door closes, protecting the feed from unwanted animals and reducing unnecessary exposure. The activation threshold can be adjusted according to bird size so the feeder can be configured for different poultry categories and production stages. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
Installation: Place the feeder on a firm and level surface so that the treadle moves freely without obstruction. Position the unit in a dry, accessible feeding area and adjust the treadle mechanism according to the target poultry weight. Training: Birds may require a short familiarization period. The access door can initially be secured in an open or partially open position where the selected feeder configuration allows, then gradually returned to normal treadle operation. Maintenance: Remove feed fines and residues regularly, inspect the treadle linkage and door movement, and keep the feeding trough clean. Check galvanized surfaces, plastic components and fasteners periodically. Empty and sanitize the feeder between production cycles. |

| Product FAQ |
Q: Does the treadle feeder require electricity? A: No. The feeder uses the bird's weight and a mechanical linkage to open and close the feeding compartment. Q: How does the feeder help reduce pest access? A: The feed compartment remains closed when poultry is not standing on the treadle, reducing direct access to stored feed by rodents and wild birds. Q: Can the treadle sensitivity be adjusted? A: Yes. Compatible models allow the activation setting to be adjusted according to bird size and management requirements. Q: What capacities are available? A: Reference configurations include 5 kg, 8 kg, 12 kg and 20 kg feed capacities. Other project-specific options can be discussed upon request. Q: Is the feeder suitable for outdoor poultry areas? A: The covered and splash-resistant design is suitable for sheltered outdoor poultry areas. Installation under a roof or weather-protected location is recommended for long-term service. Q: Can the feeder be supplied for distributors and agricultural projects? A: Yes. Capacity, packaging and product configuration can be prepared according to distributor, dealer and project procurement requirements. |
