Product Name INTEGRATED LIVESTOCK FARM WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
Product Image Integrated Livestock Farm Wastewater Treatment System
Product Overview The Integrated Livestock Farm Wastewater Treatment System is designed for treating high-organic-load wastewater generated by pig, cattle, poultry and other intensive livestock farms.

Using biological treatment as the core process, the system is designed to reduce BOD5, COD and ammonia nitrogen while providing stable operation, compact installation and convenient maintenance. The treatment process can be customized according to influent water quality, farm capacity and required discharge or reuse targets.
Product Gallery Integrated treatment tank, biological reaction zones, wastewater equalization section, sludge collection system, aeration equipment, pumps, pipelines, electrical control components and optional reclaimed-water treatment unit.
Key Features
  • Integrated Biological Treatment: Designed to reduce BOD5, COD and ammonia nitrogen in livestock wastewater.
  • Customized Process Design: Treatment stages are selected according to wastewater characteristics, farm size and effluent requirements.
  • Compact Footprint: Integrated equipment arrangement reduces land requirements compared with dispersed treatment structures.
  • Stable Operation: Biological treatment and controlled hydraulic flow support reliable long-term wastewater treatment.
  • Solid-Liquid Separation Compatible: Can be combined with manure separators or screening equipment for pretreatment of high-solids wastewater.
  • Advanced Treatment Optional: Anaerobic, A/O, MBR, filtration, disinfection or other polishing processes can be configured when required.
  • Reclaimed Water Option: Additional treatment equipment can be supplied for qualified water reuse applications.
  • Automatic Control: Pumps, aeration equipment and other operating components can be integrated into a centralized electrical control system.
  • Modular Project Configuration: Treatment capacity and equipment layout can be adapted to new farms or farm renovation projects.
  • Livestock-Specific Application: Suitable for manure wastewater, urine, barn washing water and other livestock production wastewater.
Working Principle Livestock wastewater is first collected and equalized to reduce fluctuations in flow and pollutant concentration. For wastewater containing large amounts of manure solids, screening or solid-liquid separation can be installed before biological treatment.

The pretreated wastewater then enters the biological treatment section, where microorganisms degrade organic pollutants and convert nitrogen compounds under controlled anaerobic, anoxic and aerobic conditions according to the selected process.

After biological treatment, the water can pass through clarification and optional advanced treatment or disinfection stages. Depending on the project target, treated water can be directed to compliant discharge, agricultural utilization or a further reclaimed-water reuse system.

Installation & Maintenance
  • Analyze wastewater flow, COD, BOD5, ammonia nitrogen, suspended solids and other key parameters before final process design.
  • Install adequate screening or solid-liquid separation where manure solids may overload downstream biological treatment.
  • Provide an equalization stage to reduce sudden changes in wastewater flow and pollutant concentration.
  • Install tanks and equipment on a stable foundation with adequate access for inspection and maintenance.
  • Check pumps, blowers, mixers, valves and level-control devices regularly.
  • Maintain the required dissolved oxygen and biological operating conditions in aerobic treatment sections.
  • Monitor sludge accumulation and remove or dewater excess sludge according to operating conditions.
  • Inspect pipelines and screens regularly to prevent blockage by fibers, feed residue or manure solids.
  • Monitor influent and effluent water quality to confirm that the treatment process remains stable.
  • Adjust biological operating parameters gradually when farm population or wastewater loading changes significantly.
  • Follow local environmental requirements when discharging, irrigating with or reusing treated wastewater.
Product FAQ

Q: What pollutants is the system designed to remove?
A: The biological treatment process is designed primarily to reduce BOD5, COD and ammonia nitrogen, with additional processes configured according to wastewater characteristics.

Q: Is the system suitable for pig farm wastewater?
A: Yes. It can be designed for manure wastewater, urine, barn washing water and other wastewater generated by commercial pig farms.

Q: Is solid-liquid separation required?
A: It is commonly recommended when the wastewater contains high concentrations of manure solids, although the final pretreatment design depends on actual influent conditions.

Q: What treatment capacity is available?
A: Treatment capacity is customized according to daily wastewater volume, peak flow and farm production scale.

Q: Can the process be customized?
A: Yes. Biological processes, tank arrangement, pretreatment, advanced treatment and control functions can be designed according to water-quality analysis and project targets.

Q: Can treated water be reused?
A: Yes. A reclaimed-water treatment section can be added when the required water quality and local regulations permit reuse.

Q: Can the system operate automatically?
A: Yes. Pumps, blowers, level controls and other equipment can be integrated into an automatic electrical control system.

Q: How is the final treatment process selected?
A: The process is determined from wastewater quality, daily treatment volume, available site area, discharge or reuse target and local environmental requirements.
