| Product Overview | The Livestock & Poultry Exhaust Air Treatment System is designed for mechanically ventilated pig houses, poultry houses and other intensive livestock buildings where exhaust air contains ammonia, dust and odor compounds. Exhaust air from the barn is directed through a specially designed treatment section containing modified PP filter media and a spray washing system. The large contact surface between air, water and filter media helps capture particulate matter and reduce soluble gaseous pollutants before the treated air is discharged outdoors. |

| Working Principle | Exhaust fans collect contaminated air from the livestock or poultry house and direct it into the treatment section. The air passes through wetted filter media while the circulation system distributes water over the packing surface. Dust and water-soluble contaminants are captured or transferred into the circulating wash water as the air passes through the media. The large specific contact area of the packing improves interaction between exhaust air and the washing liquid. Depending on the project design, additional treatment, water management or droplet-separation sections can be integrated before the cleaned exhaust air is discharged. The circulation water is maintained and replaced according to water quality and system operating conditions. |
