| Product Overview | The Portable Goat Feed Trough is designed for practical feeding and watering of goats, sheep and other compatible small livestock in pasture, paddock, barn and temporary pen environments. Its elongated configuration provides multiple animals with access to feed at the same time while remaining compact enough for convenient handling. The trough is manufactured from durable polypropylene or an equivalent project-specified polymer. The broad base and low center of gravity provide good resistance to tipping during normal livestock activity, while the rounded internal bottom helps discourage animals from standing inside the feeder. A side handling opening allows the trough to be lifted, repositioned or inverted when required. The stackable design also helps reduce storage and transportation space, making it suitable for commercial livestock operations, farm contractors, distributors and agricultural projects. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle | The feeder operates as a freestanding livestock feeding station. Feed, grain, pellets, mineral supplements or suitable water is placed inside the elongated trough, allowing several animals to feed or drink along its length. The wide base distributes the load over a larger contact area, helping the trough remain stable when animals approach from different directions. Its low-profile structure is difficult for goats and sheep to tip during normal use. The curved internal base reduces sharp corners and discourages animals from stepping into the feeding area. For outdoor applications, a suitable drainage opening can be specified to prevent rainwater from accumulating when the trough is used for dry feed or minerals. |

| Installation & Maintenance | The portable trough is designed for quick placement without permanent installation. Position it on a firm, reasonably level surface within the designated feeding area and maintain adequate clearance for livestock, workers and farm machinery. For commercial livestock housing or steel structure building projects, the feeder position should be coordinated with livestock fencing, gates, walkways, feed delivery routes and cleaning operations. Additional restraint or anchoring can be specified when required by site conditions. Remove residual feed regularly and wash the trough using suitable livestock-farm cleaning procedures. Inspect the trough periodically for cracks, deformation, excessive abrasion and damage to handling areas. Outdoor use should be evaluated according to local UV exposure, temperature, rainfall and other environmental conditions. |
