| Product Overview | The Large Capacity Goat Feed Trough is designed for practical group feeding of goats, sheep and other compatible livestock. Its elongated trough profile provides multiple animals with access to feed at the same time, making it suitable for pasture operations, livestock pens, barns and commercial small-ruminant facilities. Manufactured from durable polypropylene or an equivalent project-specified polymer, the trough combines low weight with good resistance to routine farm handling and outdoor exposure. The stable base helps resist tipping, while the rounded internal base discourages goats and sheep from standing inside the feeder. The portable construction allows the feeder to be carried manually or moved with suitable farm equipment. Stackable configurations can also simplify transportation and storage when specified for the project. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle | The feeder operates as a freestanding group-feeding trough. Feed is distributed along the elongated trough body so several goats or sheep can feed simultaneously from different positions. The wide base and low center of gravity improve stability during normal livestock activity. The smooth convex or rounded internal profile reduces the likelihood of animals standing in the feeding area and helps guide residual feed toward the accessible bottom surface. For outdoor applications, drainage can be incorporated where required to prevent rainwater from accumulating in the trough. The final drainage design should be selected according to whether the unit is primarily used for dry feed, minerals or water. |

| Installation & Maintenance | The freestanding trough is designed for rapid placement without permanent installation. Position it on a firm, relatively level surface within the feeding area and maintain sufficient clearance for animals and farm machinery. For commercial goat housing or steel structure building projects, the trough location should be coordinated with livestock fencing, gates, walkways, feed delivery routes and cleaning equipment. Where additional restraint is required, suitable fixing or anchoring can be specified according to project conditions. Remove residual feed regularly and wash the feeding surface using suitable livestock-farm cleaning procedures. Inspect the trough for cracks, deformation, excessive abrasion and damage to handling or drainage features. For outdoor use, select materials and configurations according to local UV exposure, temperature, precipitation and other environmental conditions. |
