Product Overview

The Bovine Pregnancy Test Kit is a rapid diagnostic solution for pregnancy screening in cattle through detection of pregnancy-associated glycoproteins (PAGs) in blood-derived samples.

Designed for practical livestock reproductive management, the compact test format can support cattle farms, breeding centers, veterinary practices and large-scale herd management programs where timely pregnancy information is important.

Key Features
  • PAG-based pregnancy screening for cattle reproductive management.
  • Rapid lateral-flow test format for convenient field or on-farm use.
  • Suitable for compatible bovine blood, plasma or serum samples.
  • Visual result interpretation helps simplify routine herd testing.
  • Compact single-use testing format reduces the need for complex laboratory equipment.
  • Supports earlier identification of open cows for reproductive follow-up.
  • Suitable for dairy cattle, beef cattle and breeding herds.
  • Bulk packaging and OEM configurations can be available upon request.
Structural Components
  • Test Cassette: Single-use lateral-flow device with sample port, control line and test line.
  • Sample Collection Components: Collection tubes and related accessories according to the selected configuration.
  • Transfer Pipette: Used to apply the required sample volume to the test cassette.
  • Reagent or Buffer: Supplied when required by the selected assay configuration.
  • Protective Packaging: Individual packaging helps protect the test device before use.
  • Instructions for Use: Testing and result interpretation guidance supplied with the applicable kit.
Working Principle / Structural Principle

The test uses an immunological detection method to identify pregnancy-associated glycoproteins in a bovine blood-derived sample. After the sample is applied, it migrates through the test membrane by capillary action.

When the target pregnancy marker is present at the applicable detection level, an antigen-antibody reaction produces a visible test line. The control line confirms that the test has operated correctly.

Results should be interpreted according to the instructions supplied with the selected test and incorporated into the farm's veterinary reproductive management program.

Record Management: Record animal identification, breeding date, sample date and test result to support herd reproductive records and follow-up decisions.

Product FAQ

Q1: What does a bovine pregnancy test detect?
PAG-based tests detect pregnancy-associated glycoproteins associated with pregnancy in cattle.

Q2: How early can cattle be tested?
The detection window depends on the selected assay. Commercial PAG-based cattle pregnancy tests are available for early pregnancy screening, with some validated products designed for testing from approximately 28 days after breeding.

Q3: Can the test be used on a commercial cattle farm?
Yes. Compatible rapid-test configurations are suitable for practical on-farm reproductive management.

Q4: What samples can be tested?
Depending on the selected configuration, bovine whole blood, plasma or serum may be used.

Q5: Does the test replace ultrasound?
No. It is a pregnancy screening and reproductive-management tool. Veterinary examination or ultrasound may be used when confirmation or additional reproductive assessment is required.

Q6: Can the product be supplied to overseas distributors?
Yes. Packaging quantities, labeling, documentation and OEM options can be discussed according to project requirements and destination-market regulations.
