Product Overview The Bovine PAG Early Pregnancy Rapid Test Cassette is a portable cattle reproduction screening kit designed to detect pregnancy-associated glycoproteins in bovine serum.

Testing can begin from approximately 28 days after breeding or artificial insemination. The cassette provides a clear visual C-line and T-line result in approximately 15 minutes without requiring a specialized analytical instrument.

Each individual kit includes the test cassette and disposable blood-sampling accessories, making it suitable for dairy farms, beef cattle farms, breeding centers and veterinary reproductive management.

Key Features
  • Designed for early bovine pregnancy screening from approximately 28 days after breeding.
  • Detects pregnancy-associated glycoproteins in bovine serum.
  • Visual result available in approximately 15 minutes.
  • Simple C-line and T-line result interpretation.
  • No dedicated electronic reader is required.
  • Disposable blood collection accessories supplied with each test.
  • Individually packaged to help protect the test from moisture and contamination.
  • Suitable for dairy, beef cattle and breeding operations.
  • Compact format convenient for on-farm reproductive management.
Working Principle Pregnancy-associated glycoproteins are produced in association with the bovine placenta and become detectable in blood during pregnancy.

The rapid test uses an immunochromatographic reaction to detect PAGs in the prepared serum sample. As the sample migrates through the test membrane, the control and test zones generate visible lines according to the presence of the target marker.

The test is intended for reproductive screening. Results should be considered together with breeding records and confirmed by repeat testing, ultrasound or veterinary examination when appropriate.

Product FAQ

Q: How early can cattle be tested?
A: The current product instructions recommend beginning testing from approximately 28 days after breeding or artificial insemination.

Q: What sample does this test use?
A: This product is designed to test bovine serum.

Q: How long does the test take?
A: Results are normally interpreted after approximately 15 minutes.

Q: How is a positive result interpreted?
A: A visible control line and a visible test line, including a weak test line, indicate a positive pregnancy screening result.

Q: How is a negative result interpreted?
A: A control line with no visible test line indicates a negative screening result. The current instructions recommend repeat testing after approximately seven days when appropriate.

Q: What does an invalid result look like?
A: If the control line does not appear, the result is invalid and a new test cassette should be used.

Q: Can the test be used immediately after calving?
A: No. The current product instructions advise against testing within approximately one month after calving or abortion because residual pregnancy markers may interfere with interpretation.

Q: Does this test replace ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis?
A: No. It is a rapid screening tool. Important breeding decisions or uncertain results should be confirmed through repeat testing, ultrasound or veterinary examination as appropriate.
