Product Overview

The Adjustable Cow Immobilizer Anti-Kick Bar is a portable cattle restraint tool designed to reduce kicking and sudden hindquarter movement during routine dairy, veterinary and livestock-management procedures.

Its telescopic galvanized-steel structure adjusts to different animal sizes, while spring-loaded locking pins engage a series of offset holes to maintain the selected working length. Curved ends with protective caps provide stable contact with the animal while helping reduce direct metal contact.

Key Features
  • Helps restrict kicking and excessive hindquarter movement during cattle handling.
  • Telescopic structure adjusts for different cow sizes.
  • Reference construction uses Ø33 mm center tubing and Ø26 mm side tubing.
  • Free-running spring mechanism with 9 mm locking pin.
  • 45° offset adjustment-hole arrangement helps reduce unintended release.
  • Protective black end caps improve contact with the animal and identify correct orientation.
  • Galvanized steel provides corrosion resistance for dairy and livestock environments.
  • No assembly required on the reference configuration.
  • Portable design supports rapid use between individual animals.
  • Suitable for commercial dairy farms, veterinary practices and cattle-management operations.
Structural Components
  • Central Telescopic Tube: Forms the main adjustable section of the restraint.
  • Curved Side Arms: Extend downward around the animal's hindquarter area.
  • Adjustment Holes: Provide multiple working positions for different cattle sizes.
  • Spring-Loaded Pins: Lock the telescopic sections at the selected length.
  • Protective End Caps: Cover tube ends and provide a defined contact surface.
  • Galvanized Surface: Protects the steel structure from routine farm moisture and corrosion.
Working Principle

The immobilizer is positioned across the cow's hindquarter area and adjusted so the curved ends sit securely against the animal without excessive pressure. The telescopic tubes are extended or shortened until a suitable fit is reached.

A spring-loaded locking pin engages the selected adjustment hole. The 45° offset hole arrangement helps maintain the selected position and reduces the possibility of accidental opening during normal use.

Correct positioning limits the animal's ability to raise the hindquarters into a kicking motion, providing the operator with additional protection during short-duration procedures.
