  • Slim glass rod construction
  • Suitable for direct-contact temperature measurement
Key Features
  • 0-100°C Measurement Range: Suitable for common farm, water and agricultural temperature monitoring applications.
  • 30 cm Extended Length: Convenient for measuring liquids in buckets, tanks and other containers.
  • High-Visibility Red Column: Red liquid provides clear contrast against the graduated scale for easier reading.
  • Glass Construction: Traditional liquid-in-glass design provides simple and stable temperature indication.
  • No Battery Required: Operates entirely through thermal expansion without electrical power.
  • Simple Operation: Direct temperature readings without programming, charging or calibration controls.
  • Low Maintenance: No electronic components or replaceable batteries are required for normal operation.
  • Multi-Purpose Farm Use: Suitable for livestock facilities, water systems, feed preparation and general agricultural temperature checks.
Working Principle The thermometer works through the thermal expansion of the liquid inside the sealed glass capillary tube. As the temperature increases, the liquid expands and rises through the narrow tube. When the temperature decreases, the liquid contracts and the column moves downward.

The temperature is determined by comparing the top of the liquid column with the graduated Celsius scale printed on the thermometer body. For accurate readings, the sensing section should remain in contact with the measured medium until the liquid column stabilizes.

Main Application Farm and Agricultural Temperature Monitoring
Applications
  • Livestock drinking water temperature checks
  • Pig farm water-system monitoring
  • Feed and liquid-feed preparation
  • Milk and liquid temperature checks
  • Farm environmental temperature monitoring
  • Agricultural production and greenhouse use
  • Laboratory and educational temperature measurement
  • General liquid and material temperature testing
Installation & Maintenance
  • Inspect the glass body for cracks or damage before each use.
  • Place the sensing end into the material or liquid being measured without exceeding the specified temperature range.
  • Allow sufficient time for the red liquid column to stabilize before reading the temperature.
  • Read the scale at eye level to reduce parallax error.
  • Avoid contact between the thermometer and the sides or bottom of hot containers when measuring liquids.
  • Clean the glass surface after use with a suitable non-abrasive cleaning method.
  • Handle carefully because the thermometer body is made of glass.
  • Do not use the thermometer if the glass is cracked or the liquid column is separated.
  • Store in a protective case or secure location away from impact when not in use.
Product FAQ

Q: What is the temperature range of this thermometer?
A: The specified measurement range is 0°C to 100°C.

Q: How long is the thermometer?
A: The thermometer is approximately 30 cm long.

Q: Does it require batteries?
A: No. It is a traditional liquid-in-glass thermometer and requires no electrical power.

Q: Why is the liquid column red?
A: The red color provides strong visual contrast against the scale, making temperature readings easier to observe.

Q: Can it be used to measure water temperature on livestock farms?
A: Yes. It is suitable for routine drinking-water, liquid-feed and other farm temperature measurements within its specified range.

Q: Can it be used for ambient temperature monitoring?
A: Yes, provided the expected temperature remains within the 0-100°C measurement range and the thermometer is positioned safely.

Q: How should the temperature be read?
A: Wait for the liquid column to stabilize, then read the scale at eye level at the top of the red liquid column.

Q: What should I do if the thermometer is damaged?
A: Stop using it immediately if the glass is cracked, broken or the liquid column becomes abnormal, and replace the thermometer.
